Default Which would work better 36 pt FS or Cleric for twf healer?

I have the past life wiz, and rogue, and want to make a fs or cleric twf. This will be last stop for this toon.

I had a 12 fs, 6 ranger, 2 monk. I loved playing him, but(honestly understandably) had trouble getting into end game groups, not sure if epic destiny would make this build better? I had manyshot as well with that build, so any input or links to builds of this nature would be great.

Gear: set of +3 tomes going, con op hp, sp shroud, 2 lit II rapiers, lit II long bow, but could make scimi or what ever in green steel as well as maybar and pirate cove epic items.

If you have a better idea on a twf healer(druid?) would be better? or if making a melee or ranged healer is just not doable for end game?

Issues that you'll have to overcome

    1. The number of feats available to these classes make TWF feats difficult to get in
    2. The issue with having Heal, Mass (level 16 cleric, 17 FvS)
    3. The need for Dexterity requirements, along with Wisdom, Constitution and Strength and to some extent Charisma

Some overcome this using an 18/2 split or 17/3 split. This is usually done to allow enough levels to get the number of 9th level spells desired, and gain the additional feats from the Splash to help get all the TWF feats.

    Example

18/2 Cleric/Fighter = two bonus feats and access to fighter boosts and strength enhancement
18/2 Cleric/Monk = two bonus feats, evasion and a few other Monk goodies including stances - still need a good reflex save to make this work
18/2 Cleric/Ranger = Some bow feats and access to Two Weapon fighting without meeting Dex requirement - However, still need to have Dex for the other TWF feats. Does not lose Spell point progression.

FvS gains a lot by staying pure thanks to its capstone, while Cleric gains a lot from splashing (again thanks to its capstone)

Creating a melee healer is still viable in end game content; however, I am unsure of why you are so determined that the healer must dual-wield. A character such as a Soul Survivor would be much simpler to create in my opinion, due to its inherent proficiency with greatswords due to worshipping the Lord of Blades and not having to invest ability points into dexterity.

If you are determined to create a two-weapon fighting healer though, I think that a druid would be an interesting choice.

I'm planning of doing a melee twf wielder cleric 18/fighter 2 myself.

    STR 16
    CON 16
    DEX 14
    INT 8
    WIS 16
    CHA 8

Human/Dwarf/Half-Elf(rogue dill) preferable, but can work with any race, a dex +3 tome is a must and a third lifer point build as you can see.

Level ups can go in wisdow or strength depends what you want most +2-3 atk dmg or +2-3 DC.

Feat wise I was thinking something along the lines

1.(cleric)Toughness (front life cleric need some life)
1.(extra human) Extra Turning (I like it since Im dumping CHA, gives me plenty of aura/bursts to last any quest)
    1. (HE) Rogue Dille
3.Past life feat Wizard (Since you already got the PL, good for DC expecialy if focused on caster type)
4.(fighter) TWF (or leave it for later, after you get cometfall/Heal/Blade Barrier)
    6.Empower Healing
    9.Quicken Spell
    12.IC
    14.(fighter) ITWF
    15. GTWF
    18. Precision (if HE with rogue dille or going shadow Epic destiny) or Power Attack

Minimum level to get fighter would be the third one when the +1 tomes start kicking and second one on 11 when the +3 sets on or changing to power attack but I dont like to lock power attack as a fighter feat not as much as TWF line.

As you see you can drop Wizard past life for extra turning and if going human still have an extra feat for Maximize or drop extra turning for something else like OversizeTWF your call depends on play style.

Could also leave the TWF line for later so you could get the precision feat or PA earlier.

    Best of luck

I am not a fan of druid at the moment. I am also a bit jaded towards FVS. I am running this build http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=243539 and have enjoyed every minute leveling (currently level 17, LIT II long swords can be fun).

If you are not hung up on the TWF builds a Soul Survivor, Lord of Blades or False Hope builds work well and normally are fun to play.

I also have an 18 Cleric, 1 Barbarian, 1 Wizard build that has smoked through to level 10. I anticipate it will continue to be fun after picking up blade barrier. I potentially will TR him into an 18 Cleric 2 Monk build providing lots of synergy and survivability.

My apologies for not having a premade cleric build. If you follow this link you will find several FVS builds that might be of interest. http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=370115

    Hopefully this helps.

Default Still not sure which way to go, cleric ..FS... Druid

Thanks guys, I am still not sure which way to go.

If twf just gimps your toon to much, then I could go with the cookie cutter" I actually have a wf lob 34 pt at level 11 now, no complaints really but 3 is my max quota for account wf(arti on his 5th life, and a sorc)(this is self enforced btw) I am just a not a big fan of wf, but arti and sorc were just SO much better as wf so I had to do it. BUT every time I cast a heal with my lob I wonder wouldnt this be much better as a fleshie?

As to TWF, I know back in the day, (I am sure it was snow, uphill both ways, 2008 or so?) twf was so much faster then thf or sword and shield, and I just hated the animation and how it seems so slow, compared to seeing dual wields in action. If twf gimps a toon to much, then I will adjust and make it work. I have a 32 pt fs/2 monk that uses scimitars that is completely useless with them but he is a great healer and I end up using the epic buckler and dagger from pirates cove on him when the @#$# gets real oh and cavalry plate(monk is pretty much useless). To many wrong feats, stats, I made that the day fs came out and had NO idea what I was doing. All that being said FS are pretty tough to mess up as healers, (so many spell points,) so I am leaning towards FS elf or half elf(if I could find a helf that didnt look like a bad version if Octomom and Regis Feldman were to have a kid)

I think of all the ideas, Fs/2 ranger(I love the idea of archer stance while healing during boss fights) as, maybe, a Drow would be my first choice. (I actually posted about this(sort of) when I heard drow got tempest as race enhancement(Wanted to call it the "Healing Blade") I wish I knew the racial trees coming out in a month or so) Add in some really good epic destiny(the one that fixes all the " I wish I had this) issues and there you go. Now to figure out how to make this toon. or pray for some one to come out with a character planner that has epic destiny and new race tree enhancements.

BTW, if I do go Ranger, I would guess take Ranger at level 1 for skill points, and have 14 in dex so a +3 tome will get all twf feats needed?

I do not know enough about cleric radiant servant and burst but it seems for boss fights you would want to be right in on the action hitting stuff between burst and mass lights and mods.
