Is it chipmunk droppings? Or is it rotting bits of a dead chipmunk?

Its that stuff that collects in chipmunk belly buttons. There is a guy in the Vale who captures chipmunks and removes the stuff. Why? Hey, it's a living.
It's when Alvin sings a Parliament song.

AKA breakbeats.
In-game... I'm not sure you wanna know.
Chipmunk Funk are the mildly acidic, cheesy chafings produced when any two warm, moist surfaces of a Chipmunk's anatomy rub together over a sufficient period of time and conditions of temperature.
What I want to know is how do you make a Locust Husk?

Locust husks, and insect husks in general, are created when an insect is killed by a blast of hot air such that it leaves behind a crisp outer shell. Insect husks are popular magical ingredients, and locust husks are the most potent of them all.
As it happens, insect husks are very common in the Vale of Twilight. In fact, you can't take two steps on the Lammania side without stepping on a beetle husk. Crowds of adventurers searching for chipmunk funk tend to cast copious amounts of fireballs and walls of fire at trolls, troglodytes and magical spiders there. Firewalls in particular have a tendency to kill overflying insects, leaving behind piles of scorched husks.
Locust husks are rare only for the fact that locusts are a favourite snack among troglodytes, so they tend to meet their end in troglodyte bellies rather than firewalls. If you can sneak up on a troglodyte you might just see a sticky tongue whip out to catch a passing locust! The fact that throngs of adventurers comb through the Vale, fighting over locust husks, doesn't make it any easier to find one.
That, my friends, is the story of locust husks.
Since I haven't heard any really viable alternatives, I have decided that Chipmunk Funk must be a rotting bit of a dead chipmunk's body.

Chipmunk funk is the dried up material left over from copious chipmunk copulation. Its nasty but hey it makes greensteel possible.
Enjoy yourself your time on earth is very short.

I've always pictured Chipmunk Funk as a dried bit of chipmunk with bits of fur in it.
Now Powdered Blood = Dried blood someone scraped off of the surface it dried on and put it in a pouch? I can just picture the poor beggar who travels down into Dryden's Crypt who does this sort of thing to make money selling it.
Chipmunk Funk will always and forever be, to me: femunda cheese from a chipmunk.

I don't think chipmunks have a strong natural Odor that would omit once dead, their like a squirrel, you definitely would know something has died but with out seeing the carcass for your self I don't think you would know that it was a chipmunk...I think your logic would apply better to something like "SKUNK FUNK"
I get the sneaky suspicion it has to do with how many nuts they can fit in their mouth at one time....Them **** chipmunks can hold a sack full of nuts in their mouth...now lets break it down shall we..
A Chipmunks mouth is 98 deg f = HOT,STEAMY and MOIST
Random ground nuts (Acorns) = SALTY and DIRTY
-------------------------------------------
So to conclude...Salty dirty nuts in a chipmunks hot and steamy mouth = CHIPMUNK FUNK!!!
