Default Can you hotbar the rune arm charge/fire activation?

I haven't been able to get a straight answer on this, but can you put the control for your rune arm on a hotbar, or can it only be button-mapped?

I ask because I use a gamepad, and with key layouts being a per-account (computer?) thing, and not a per-character thing, this is going to be important for deciding whether or not I ever roll an artificer.

You can put the rune arm charge toggle on Hotbar. So you can toggle autocharge on or off via hotbar.

You can only fire it via a bound key as far as I can tell.

I bound my fire key as F since I don't use voicechat so that button is free on all my toons.

The rune-arm charge icon is expanded from the feat, and can be hot-barred from that. Took me a while to find it too.

Can anyone confirm that you cannot fire a runearm from a hotbar assignment?

nope, it has to be bound to a key

The feat only charges rune arms automatically when toggled

Easiest way to do it is to assign your block button on your game pad to rune arm use in the options/keymapping menu. Hitting the button will now charge and fire your rune arm. You just have to switch the assignment back to block when your on a diff character.

You can block or tumble while using a Runearm now, so you may want to use a different key.

I play with a joystick, and use the software that came with it to mimic keyboard presses rather than setting it up through the DDO control system. When changing to an artificer character, I just tab out of the game and pick the setup that has the runearm fire key instead of hotbar button 4 as active.

But no, there is no icon for firing the runeam that can be placed in the hotbar. Just the auto-charge one.
