Actually no, Im absolutely correct on that point - this game has some of the nicest people who play it, and some of the most jaded forumites ive ever run into. Its hard to believe its the same people posting that are also playing.

Most of the forumites that I've interacted with (including in this thread and in the similar shrplox thread) are some of the nicest, most helpful, most entertaining forumites that I've ever run into.

It's not at all hard to believe that they are the same great people that I encounter in game.

You simply have a severely skewed view of the DDO forums because of your aggressively antagonistic stances in so very many threads.

Having hid behind an anonymous forum name myself in the past, it's easy to accept the possibility that Chai might have more than one forum account. If that is the case, then "I have been posting" can be interpreted as the flesh-and-blood person behind the account, not the account name itself.

I even run into people on Lamannia from other servers who consistently disagree with me on the forums, and are quite negative while doing so, but are very cool in game.

The problem with this statement is now you are taking only a small sample (forum people you've met) of the small sample (Less than 5% see your own signature) and applying that to your absolutes. And again I point out that we have never met in game and those that know me, also know that what I post and how I am in game (and RL) are so close that they could with nearly 90% accuracy pick me out of a Room filled with DDO players.

In this thread you entire argument is based on you believing that Impaqt's post supported your Anti-elitest stance. But it doesn't. Impaqt didn't berate, admonish or even humiliate the player. What he pointed out is that people do some funny things like blame others when they die. In this case the Artificer was just as capable of healing themself (if not more so considering that these are level 5 quests and if being run for bravery bonus would be with characters of no more than Level 7 - Best Spell level being Level 4)

In this case I believe you have let your own personal Dogma cloud your responses. You may even have come to a point where you realize that your on unsteady ground. So I'm going to offer you a graceful out.

On the matter as it concerns Impaqt's post - your concern did not exists, however their are others who meet your criteria and we do run into them from time to time.

You do realize that people who played this game from day 1 when it was sub only, took a few months off and let the sub run out, then re-joined later on, got a join date that reflects their new sub. There was some nerd rage on the forums back then when the "founders" got a few perks but the people who took a few months off due to being bored with a game that still had not developed most of its content yet were not considered "founders" due to the fact that they had let their sub run out.

Why even make an issue of something like this, when its been a well known fact for years now? Back when the game was sub only, re-subbing after letting the sub drop = new join date.

You guys wouldnt be so up in a tizzy about me pulling your cards on this if I was wrong. The reason youre all still here railing on it is because Im correct. Some are not prepared to take the same level of criticism they dish out. Continuing to pile on is the only well rehearsed defense left to do when theres no other info that reinforces your point. The minute I leveled the same type of criticism that the OP leveled at this supposed non-self-hear arty, hilarity ensued, and in one fell swoop, reinforced every single point I made here post by post, line by line. Its not a 50 person pile on like it would have been in 2007-2008, its a 5 person attempt at a pile on, that clearly understands that the dinosaur days where players get to dictate how others play or they wont include them in any of their reindeer games are over. Theres not even enough of them left to fill out raids on a regular basis without including some newer types in the groups - the same people these types of threads get created about, more frequently by less people.

As for not being able to take critisism. I would think it would need to be valid critisism. You are critising Alandale for what? Being elitist because he made a self-healing class heal itself in a BYOH party, refused to raise him, and then booted him from the party because he died? Oh wait, that didn't happen. Instead, they healed the self-healing class who didn't heal himself, raised him, and invited him to continue the chain. The response they got was the arty complaining that they "let him die" arguably putting all blame on he divines and taking no responsibility for himself. So, what critisism is there?
