    Default die step increase question

    do the die step increases from Byeshk Alchemical wraps and effects like Reinforced Fists stack (for a total of 2d20 at level 20)?

    nope. 2d14 is currently the the max.
    Jesus saves. Everyone else rounds to nearest 5%.

    aha. TY for that. tho IIRC d14 is not an actual D&D die, so it SHOULD be d20

    I don't know about that. A buddy of mine had a d14. Came with a set.

    the "traditional" D&D dice are d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and d% (aka d100)

    yes, you could MAKE a d14, but i challenge you to find a single source material that uses it

    While this is technically true in PnP I can assure you that 2d14 is what you are given in DDO.

    Currently you can only achieve +1 die step from items(no two items stack with each other), and +1 die step from the past life feat, which stacks with everything so far.

    The devs have stated somewhere around the forums that unarmed die step increases will always be by 1d2. So if we ever get another stacking bonus it the new max would be 2d16, 2d18, 2d20, 2d22 etc. This method was chosen so there would not be that huge jump in base damage when getting the die step to move from d12 to d20.

    Also this is not the first time DDO has strayed from the PnP 'traditional' die. The greatsword, Terror, uses 2d7 as its base damage.

    Anyway, this is the system we have in DDO.
