Just noticed this email too, wondering what the market is gonna be.

My speculation its either just relaunching the existing store with more items etc (seems unlikely), or Warner Bros. have decided that theres profit to be made in offering assorted DDO-themed merchandise - Kobold plushies for all!

... No idea why it says Artificer is newest, technically thats Druid
Also no idea what the free trial means... might just get an Arty on my spare slot built and leave for the day I want to run an Artificer, since I have no want to do so now but dont want to pay for him/her in the future... but dont know how it would work (perhaps after the free trial, if you like it you need to buy it to carry on playing!)

Also not sure if I will use the coupon code.
I have 4.5k of TP sitting waiting for some decent high lvl packs to go on promo, if there is a promo on AND we get 10% off, wonderful... if its just the same full price packs, i dont know if I should wait or go for it.

Arti is technically the newest as druid has yet to be released, I've heard the class doesn't function after the trial period if you don't own it at that time also, but can't confirm. Yea for more XP boost weekends, need to wrap up my TR!

Now... lets pray they put some packs on Promo... give me a good enough reason to buy them, after all 10% is good but considering some packs go out at 25% when on offer, the TP point saving works best if i wait for the 25% or better offers

FYI : I have 2 accounts, 1 which I use and 1 I think I subscribed under an old email address and never use

The normal account the email says : DDO - See what's new and take advantage of our special May events and offers!
The expired / dormant account one says : Get back into DDO – May events and offers coming soon!

So aside from P2P's not getting the message, it seems anyone who has a F2P or Prem account will

Are you from the future? A future where Druid is released and playable? Strange that in your future there is no such thing as a free trial... Huh, maybe you were on a different timeline and when you came back in time to our time line you see this 'free trial' and got all confused. Uh well, such are the pitfalls of time travel. Try not to touch anything while you are here, butterflies and all that.

Well, it's not that difficult to understand as that's exactly how VIP subscription running out already works. So I'm assuming it's the same for this. Yes, you lose access to your gear. You get it back when you subscribe or buy the class/race. I don't think it's a big deal, personally.

Where is the druid trial... LOL - I reckon the Pre-Subscribers would be quite miffed if they gave out free trials of Druid.

And their cats would be coughing up furballs!!


Oh, and whilst technically Druid isn't released.. my reasoning is sound.

Druid is to be released ever so soon (next month?!? right?)

It is reasonable to assume that something that is happening in a few days is closer to the term "newest" than something that happened 8 months ago. I do feel that using this terminology on purpose for marketing reasons.



Its the olympics (yawn) this year.

If i said "I am going to be having fun watching the newest Olympic Event" it is fair to assume I am talking about the one coming up this year and not the one 4 years ago
