i have decided to roll a wargorged sorc/wiz and cant find a decent build all i know is i intend to make him a pale master at the end need a build badly for 32 points and vet lvl 4 would also like spell list that is good for a new caster user and that will provide good balance and make the pale master i intend to roll solid and self sufficient

Most Warforged wizards will go Archmage rather than Pale master as most of the benifits of being WF are either duplicated or eliminated by being undead. Going AM you can still have a few repair spells memorized to heal yourself an you gain access to a greater number of optional SLAs. I have hear that evocation is a good leveling build as maximised, empowered 1sp magic missle is very nice, chain missle I think is 6 with the same treatment. General consensus is that going higher is a waste of SP locked up in SLAs. SLA Web is great at any level as it can be heightened for free.

If you are going for save or die build just level with evocation and swap out feats when you hit 14 and pick up greater necro at 15 and switch your build over. The final save for heightened finger is one less for AM necro with the same feats as a Pale Master but they have alot more versatility and equal or greater survivability to a PM.

I'm not the best at builds but in general 18 int 20 con the rest in strength or strength to 12 and the rest in charisma but as WF UMD isnt as usefull as you can have a pumped reconstruct on your bar and clickies for most other things.

    For leveling purposes
    Feats 1: Maximise, Empower
    Feat 3: Toughness
    Feat 5: Mental toughness
    Feat 6: SF: Evo
    Feat 9:GSF: Evo
    Feat 10:sf: conj
    feat 12: quicken, for reconstructs
feat 15: wiz:sf Necro, HD GSF Necro
    feat swap GSF:Evo to Heighten
    feat 18: insightful reflexes maybe
feat swap SF Evo to Spell pen
    Feat 20: GSpell Pen

Level with Force and Fire or Force and Cold until you switch to save or die at 15. You could go for heighten at level 12 and swap for quicken when ready that way your webs are heightened as soon as you get access to them but failing reconstructs is a sad thing but a webed mob isnt hitting you. Web is another reason to go acid or cold as their AoEs dont break web but fire does.

P.S. be very mindful of where you put Evocation feats, you can not put either Spell pen or greater in the wizard slots nor greater spell focus.

I too am confused why you want to go PM on a WF.
-Your Necro school will be identical... 2 from Lich or 2 from Spell Mastery 2.
-You already have self-healing, and arguably superior self-healing at that.
-You already have the interesting immunities undead forms offer.
Going AM instead gives you SLA Web, which is just super fantastic.

Spell-wise, ones I like are (with the single target Repair options at every level if you don't go PM):
level 1: Acid Spray (for leveling, a little more versatile than Burning Hands and won't burn webs)
level 2: Web, Scorching Ray, Blur, if PM Lesser Death Aura
level 3: Haste, Frost Lance, sometimes Halt Undead
level 4: Ice Storm, Wall of Fire, Acid Rain, Enervation, if PM Negative Energy Burst and Death Aura
level 5: Cloudkill, Eladar's Electric Surge, Niac's Biting Cold
level 6: Greater Heroism, Circle of Death, Disintegrate, sometimes Flesh to Stone and Undeath to Death
level 7: Otto's Sphere of Dancing, Finger of Death, sometimes Banishment
level 8: Black Dragon Bolt, Otto's Irresistible Dance, Polar Ray, Symbol of Death
level 9: Power Word Kill, Hold Monster Mass, Energy Drain, Wail of the Banshee

There are many aspects to consider and while the first two posters are correct that the WF race gains little in self healing capabilities going PM over the AM counter part it comes down to Feat choices and Focus

If the Primary Focus is Necromancy, than an AM and PM will have the same DC (race and distribution being and feats being equal).

If the Primary Focus is any other schools than the PM will be behind by 1 DC on the Primary and be ahead by at least +1 DC for all schools that are not the Primary or secondary of the AM.

WF PM have the choice to take form or not and still maintain innate self healing.

While conjuration SLA is great for it's spell point cost vs. effectiveness, Web is not the end-all-be-all CC. Creatures of Fire, creatures with FoM, and Spiders are not hindered.

The power in a WF PM is choice.

The most common starting stat for a WF Wizard (AM or PM) is to max Intelligence and put the rest into constitution. Any remaining points are then distributed into strength.

Order that I like to use
Feats 1: Mental Toughness *, Toughness
    Feat 3: Maximize
    Feat 5: Extend
    Feat 6: SF: {Primary School}
    Feat 9: Heighten
    Feat 10: Quicken
    feat 12: GSF: {Primary School}
    feat 15: SF: {Secondary School}, Spell Penetration
    feat 18: Empower
    Feat 20: GSpell Pen

    * Swap Mental Toughness for Insightful Reflexes somewhere between level 12 to 18

If they are going AM then they can not swap out Mental Toughness. It's a required feat for AM.

If going PM then it's also required for Shroud of the Wraith at 12 and should be used till 18 when they become eligible for Shroud of the Lich .

Wizard Archmage I Requires: Wizard Intelligence I, Improved Concentration II, Wizard Energy of the Scholar II, Mental Toughness, and one of Spell Focus: Abjuration, Spell Focus: Conjuration, Spell Focus: Evocation, Spell Focus: Enchantment, Spell Focus: Illusion, Spell Focus: Necromancy, Spell Focus: Transmutation

Shroud of the Wraith:Requires: Mental Toughness, Wizard Pale Master II

I like taking the following feat order on a AM WF that does not have a wizard past life:

    1-Toughness
    1w- Maximize
    3-Mental Toughness
    5w- Extend
    6- Spell Focus: Necromancy
    9- Spell Penetration
    10w- Heighten
    12- Greater Spell Focus: Necromancy
    15- Insightful Reflex
    15w- Quicken
    18- Greater Spell Penetration
20w- Empower or Spell Focus:enchant or conjuration

** If you decide to go PM, then you have the option to swap out Mental toughness at 18 when you become eligible for Shroud of the Lich, I'd suggest a Spell Focus feat if you choose to swap it.

I'd take enchantment tier 2 SLA: hypnotism and otto's resistable dance (use both of them as a combo, hypnotism lowes saves making otto's work better) with this you will cc most of mobs (casters are a long shot to cc, due to their higher will save, but for them FoD is the best CC ) with a cost of 8sp (iirc)
If you take also SF conjuration feat, then tier2 will allow you to cast web for 6sp.
Just don't take higher tier SLA, the sp loss isnt worth it, imo.

The very best SLA is Web. It requires at least SF: Conjuration and the first rank of a Spell Mastery.
A very good SLA is Hypno. It requires only SF: Enchant, and no ranks in Spell Mastery.
A good SLA is Otto's Resistable Dance, but its usefulness is tempered by needing ranks in Spell Mastery to obtain it.

For you, I would go like this...
Start with Spell Mastery in Conjuration, getting Grease (never use) and Web (use everywhere) at level 9.
At level 12 do an enhancement swap: Spell Mastery in Necromancy, Secondary Spell Mastery in Conjuration.
Get SLA Hypno whenever you pick up Spell Focus: Enchantment, if you choose to.
The Necromancy SLAs are seductive, but stuff your ears with cotton. You have too many all-the-time useful things to spend AP on to get things you could (but in practice will rarely) use.
