How far does your patience go?

I'm in Litany of the Dead, did the Mentau part of it. Got to the end, noticed I forgot the soft blue flame from the table...oh well I'll just have to go there with the fire damage and jump out to heal once in a while.

Works fine, ended up just having to jump out once to use 2 heal scrolls on myself. I kill him, bubble is gone...still take fire damage. I end up dying cause there's nothing I can do to stop it...

So I submit a ticket, cause I still need to break the **** crystals to flag myself and I might get a tome page from the chest...

One hour, ONE ****ING HOUR to get an answer.
"Release out, tell me if you still take damage from it"
"Uh...the whole point I wasted one hour waiting was to NOT release, cause I still need to finish the quest"
"Sorry can't revive you"
"Can't you at least give me a cake or something?"
"Sorry can't do anything for you, just release"

Gee thanks, that helped me so much. I mean seriously, can't revive me? How much ******** is that? I've had a GM kill a boss for me one time cause he was stuck in a wall and I couldn't finish the quest. How is reviving me so impossible to do? Or give me a cake for the inconvenience?

Ended up buying a **** cake to finish this, but I didn't have points so, 8$ for the lowest amount of points you can buy.

As usual with poor GM support them saying "I can't help you" really means "I am choosing to not help you".

This is very clear when you encounter similar situations different times and get two completly different responses...as the OP stated, such as one shotting boss.

Patience, whats that? I gave up on turbine support a long time ago. What's the point of reporting bugs, submitting tickets, hell even following the rules when you get nothing but grief from the support. Being an attorney I wish I got payed for telling people theres nothing I can do for them.

Ran out of that ages ago. Most quests take less than 30 minutes to run. Most responses from GMs take more than 30 minutes. sadly, quicker to just recall/rerun most quests.

I don't have the patience to last until clicking the "Send" button, let alone sit there and wait for a response.

Edit: If you had to wait one hour to get a response, that means that particular GM had to sit and type "Sorry, we can't help you" hundreds of times since you opened the ticket. Talk about patience - that would frustrate the h**l out of me.

Or a port back to ToD so they can loot after a banish because they forgot to put boots on.


Sorry the OP messed up - but asking the GMs to fix your mistake is not what they are there for.

I did not mess up anywhere. I forgot the flame, yes, but I still killed Mentau and when I did, the Phlat Device kept doing fire damage to me EVEN AFTER IT VANISHED AND I WAS OUT OF RANGE OF WHERE IT WAS WHEN IT WAS STILL ACTIVE.

Also, the damage stopped whenever I jumped out of it, before he died. But when he died, which caused the Phlat Device to disappear, I was still taking 30-40 fire damage every 2sec. I was standing at the chest and STILL taking damage.

I'm not stupid, I wouldn't have posted this if I died normally, but this is clearly a bug, and they didn't give a **** about it.

That bug got me last life too. Tried a second time with the same result. However, if you can make it to the door up to the tower, the effect ends when you go outside.

If you need help in a quest, unless it's a completed raid, just give up immediately.

Sorry the OP messed up - but asking the GMs to fix your mistake is not what they are there for.

Nothing was messed up by the OP in what led to his death. This is a known bug with this particular effect, and in particular is known to at times continue persisting and kill you even outside the quest.

Just remembered today that I've actually had it happen to me on my very first life on Distributed, so I guess it's been around for a while. Makes it even worse...been known forever and they won't even help players that get screwed by it.

Guess I'll have to start summoning hirelings all the time when I solo...just in case I need a raise when game bugs on me...wouldn't be a bad idea since I've died 6-7 times already due to the falling bug and never near a shrine :/

There are rumors it may get fixed soon, though - that'd be pretty sweet.

The reality is this game has the worst trained GMs of any MMO I have ever played. They are clueless about game and quest mechanics so they just follow the most basic script any deviation and they run closing tickets behind them. They also apparently took customer service training from Ex-East German KGB.

9/10 you are better off recalling and running it again.

Lineage II was way worse than this, but at least there I knew they didn't care at all beforehand, when the servers had been 85% bots for the 7 years I played there and they closed every single thread talking about them lol.

But oh well, I know what to expect now.
