    Default anti sorcerer

    Pursuing completionist
    36 point build available
    fighter and ranger behind me
want to knock out my sorcerer life but I very much dislike playing casters and the restricive sorcerer in particular.
So what can I build to get this over with. Having as little sorcerer impact as possible while maintaining it as my majority class?

My thoughts to this point. leaning to warforged. Definitely a melee focus. Figure out a niche to get me to 20 and TR.

    :O

If you want it fast, don't try to melee.
    Ever.

Nuke everything on your way, to power level a life.

    Default Stumped the pros

It appears as though I have stumped the experts.
    Remember the essential points.
    1. Hates the class
    2. Cares nothing for any sort of end game on this life. Only wants to say bye at 20.
    3. So as long as it can level it matters not how "gimped" it is

    1barb/19 sorc.

Umm, there's NOTHING easier to level than a WF sorc, NOTHING.

However, if you so dislike casting and want to grab a sorc life as a melee type, look up the 'tukaw' build or something similar. In short that would be 12 sorc 6 pal 2 monk (was 2 rog originally but monk will be better for more melee feats sooner)

You havent stumped anyone except yourself. You were advised that if you want to get through the life quickly, dont try to melee. Play the class the way it is designed: blow things to bits. If you are determined to melee instead, then you are making it harder on yourself, as well as anyone who tries to advise you.

A WF sorc is one of the most mindlessly easy classes to play. Pick an elemental focus, stack up your spells with that in mind (and a couple of side-element spells for immune mobs), set your enhancements to match the PRE that goes with that element, get in a groups, and blow stuff up; things will die MUCH faster, and you will complete quests/level MUCh faster as a result. Bring rage and haste as soon as possible, and the rest of the group wont even notice if you are gimping your way through the quest. Slot a repair spell or two, get empower and maximize as early as possible, as well as toughness. Any other feats (other than the ones required for the PRE) are optional on a non-end-game oriented toon. Max your CHA and CON (or shave a point or two off con to up your STr to allow a LITTLE melee and no burden issues). When you are high enough to use recon scrolls, put a couple points into wand/scroll mastery, and use recon scrolls to save SP for nuking. Repair Crit wands (with the wand/scroll mastery) are great from lvl 7 up to about 11 or so as well -- useful for topping off even past those lvls.

And its not about whether or not playing the sorc as a melee will gimp the build or suck at end game. Its about the fact that a zerg through 1-20 is WAY easier if you play it as a heavy nuking caster. Think of it like trying to play a barbarian UMDing eternal wands as the primary source of damage. Yes, its that bad.

WF - Fire Specced, run to end chest.

Easiest class to level in the game period.
    Gasoline(tr) Favored Soul - 5th Life
    Deadwall(tr) - Soul Survivor - 2nd Life
    Gasolinex - Pale Master
    Gasomatic Systematic - Bard

Why would you possibly want to try and melee? Your spells will easily dwarf the damage output of any other class. The more limited spell selection of a sorcerer isn't really an issue for levelling either; get haste, invisibility and fireball and you're set for most of the game.

A WF sorcerer is the easiest and quickest build to level. Any melee capability just becomes redundant.

    Don't do WF Sorc yet.

Do your other classes. Once you do WF Sorc...everything else will seem slowwwwwwwwwwww.

OK I assume you've heard enough of the "Just Don't do it"

So If you're still determined to play a melee sorc - Solo I assume - Call it flavour.

Max your STR and CON {put the rest in CHA}, Grab a Greatsword, Take a coupla fighter lvls and choose buff spells {see below}.

    Then go to town.

Lvl 1. Expeditious Retreat, Nightshield, Jump, Magic Missile

Lvl 2. Blur, Scorching Ray, Invisibility, Repair Mod {till you get a higher tier}, Resist Energy {if you don't have shippies}, Knock.

Lvl 3. Haste, Rage, Heroism {till you get GH then take Displacement instead}, Repair Serious.

Lvl 4. DDoor, Wall of Fire, Repair Crit - Use Wands for Stoneskin {mats are way too expensive}.

Lvl 5. Prot Ele, Teleport, Summon Monster V

Lvl 6. GH, Reconstruct, True Seeing

    Lvl 7. Summon Monster VII {You're only taking Lvl 7 spells to get your 3 Lvl 6 spells}

Prob won't be worth bothering past Lvl 7 spells - You may want to just fill out with fighter lvls.

For Feats I'd choose - Extend, Toughness, Eschew Materials*, Augment Summoning*, The Two Handed Fighting Line and Imp Crit Slash.
Maximise and Empower won't be worth it - You won't have the SPs once you've finished buffing.

Enhancements - Max your fire and force lines - There won't be much else to spend points on after all.

Gear - Get DSD item asap.
Get Repair and Potency asap {pref not on weapon}.

    Most importantly - Have fun.

*Eschew Materials may be a waste of a feat if you're not worried about bag space - I'm sure you can find something else to fit in {possibly quicken for reconstruct}.
*Augment Summoning - Well you're gonna be using hirelings.

    Default Thanks all

You've convinced me I was being bull headed. I'll run it the way it's designed to be played. Thank you all sincerely for your input.

Have you got a vibrant purple ioun stone? I would highly recommend getting one before you tr if you haven't already. It will make the lower levels much easier for any class with a blue bar but especially a sorcerer.

When you're running around with 1000 sp at level 7 and one shotting groups of mobs, i don't know how you can't love the class
