Default Pure 20 Paladin (DoS) Dragonmarked Human

Hi all, here is another one of my crazy builds.
In sight of the upcoming expansion, I'm TRing my fighter tank into a paladin version.
I prefer pure builds (in fact I have a pure Artificer, a pure Cleric and a pure Wizard) so I'm trying not to do the usual 18/2 split with fighter or monk.
I know I'm feat starved as is, but I also would like to have the three Dragonmarks of Sentinel because I already have an epic Chimera's Fang!

Starting stats with tomes that I already own (34 points):
STR 16 +3 tome to hit things
    DEX 14 +2 tome
    CON 14 +2 tome
INT 10 +3 tome for combat expertise.
WIS 8 +4 tome for casting, will have owl's wisdom loaded so I'm basically immune to disjunction.
CHA 16 +4 tome for divine might IV
Levelups in strength, constitution or charisma depending on how epic feat prerequisites are handled. Defaults to strength.

    Feats (7 normal +1 human):
    1) Toughness
    1) Shield Mastery
    3) Least Dragonmark of Sentinel
    6) Lesser Dragonmark of Sentinel
    9) Quicken Spell (I like quickened divine favor at level 9)
    12) Combat Expertise (I get INT 13 at level 11 so this is the earliest I can take it)
    15) Maximize Spell (just in time to load cure serious wounds)
    18) Greater Dragonmark of Sentinel
I have a torc so I can self heal while tanking, that's why I'm getting both quicken and maximize.

    Enhancements:
Paladin Armor Class Boost 1: 1 AP
Paladin Courage of Good 1: 1 AP
Paladin Focus of Good 1: 1 AP
Paladin Bulwark of Good 4: 10 AP
Paladin Resistance of Good 3: 6 AP
Follower of the Sovereign Host: 2 AP
    Unyielding Sovereignty: 4 AP
Paladin Defender of Siberys 3: 8 AP
Paladin Divine Might 4: 10 AP
Paladin Divine Righteousness 1: 1 AP
Paladin Weapons of Good: 2 AP
Paladin Extra Lay on Hands 3: 6 AP
    Paladin Toughness 2: 3 AP
    Racial Toughness 2: 3 AP
    Paladin Devotion 3: 6 AP
Human Improved Recovery 2: 6 AP
    Deneith Intimidation 4: 4 AP
    Improved Intimidate 4: 4 AP
Left out: 2 AP (possibly Human Adaptability to even out an useful odd stat)

    Gear:
Something on the line of this post
    http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p...&postcount=110

I'll focus on AC, damage mitigation, healing amplification and self heal.
Hate would be plenty: +75% stance, +75% DoS + Shield, +10%+15%+20% epic Chimera's Fang, +100% Intimidate + Shield, +100% Divine Righteousness.
Since I'm no half orc nor a barbarian, Power attack would only net me 5 extra damage per swing (10 with a two hander), I'd rather keep the extra AC from combat expertise and the shield than deal pitiful more damage since I won't have super strength or two handed feats, so I'm not taking the power attack feat. The epic Chimera's Fang is the weapon I'd be using 90% of the time, it's naturally keen and I'm not taking improved critical either.

I hope this build will survive the update test and will behave well with the following enhancements change.
What do you think about this?

I already have torc and epic fang, the two key items in my build.
If you meant while leveling, I may still take improved crit early and change that single feat at 20 with the free respec.

Hmm your build will be pretty low dps, not even power attack. Will be a chore leveling him up.

Thats why my (planned) eFang tank has 12 levels of fighter, so he can afford PA/IC/full THF line/IWS. Of course, he cant self-heal much, but as a raid-tank he will have a designated healer anyway.

I don't take power attack by choice, +5 damage when you already deal about 50 is not worth the feat slot and the fact that I would have to say hello to a lot of my AC.
I could make more use of power attack (+10 damage) if I ever use a two hander, but that means no shield in addition to no combat expertise.
Right now on my fighter tank I still do more damage with my eFang than with any other two hander in my possession, even with power attack!
Anyway, I don't think it'll be that much of a hassle, it's just 5 damage and I got other things to make up for it like divine might and I'm also considering divine sacrifice I, extra smite evil I-II and exalted smite I in lieu of paladin devotion III and extra lay on hands III. At cap I'll have extra damage thanks to the capstone without resorting to power attack, which would be a feat I'd take if I went 18/2.

In short: power attack and combat expertise are mutually exclusive, and I'd rather keep combat expertise.

If no power attack means low dps then I'm aware of that. I just need decent dps to levelup, hold aggro and contribute decently without hampering my tanking efforts.
Divine Might IV (+8 damage), divine sacrifice I (+3 avg damage per hit), exalted smite I, just 1 less modifier for strength than full, divine favor (+3 damage), zeal (equates fighter capstone) and paladin capstone (at least +3 avg damage on bosses) seem quite a decent arsenal to me. It's different than what a fighter provides certainly (roughly +13 damage per hit accounting IWS, PA, fighter weapon enhancements and fighter strength), but it's still nice. Yes, a fighter can use speed boosts on top of that, but I accept to lose the speed boosts in exchange for spells and self healing and the fact that my "boosts" are not limited to 5, 7 or 9 depending on enhancements so I can spam them.

Fighter and Paladin are different classes, no questioning here.
I want to stay pure as a Paladin, and I think the three dragonmarks help me more than any other feats due to intimidate unlock, epic chimera fang and epic chimera crown (which I'm planning to acquire) synergy, or I'd change them for power attack, improved critical and maybe empower healing.
18/2 is an option to get more feats but I really want that capstone and divine might IV. Also, I just looted a Divine Vengeance and it's more fun with a pure paladin as a Queen beater.

Go for it! Just keep in mind pallys do less dps and move slower on a quest, but they are steady as ever. I soloed Bastion of power on Elite (except for the end boss, when the party fill up and I wouldnt be able to do it by myself) on a first life DoS paladin with no exceptional gear. Took me 90 minutes thought and was crazy desesperation fun

    from teh wiki:

You may expend a Paladin armor boost to become a bastion of defense, gaining a +6 Sacred bonus to Strength and Constitution, +20% maximum hit points, a +3 Sacred bonus on all saves, and a +4 Dodge bonus to Armor Class. You also gain a 75% Sacred bonus to threat generated with your melee attacks. While in this stance, you move 10% slower

Divine Righteouness: Paladin Divine Righteousness I: Activate this ability to gain a double sacred bonus to the hate generated by your melee attacks and spells for 60 seconds, making monsters more likely to attack you. Consumes a use of turn undead.

    You be the judge.
