Playing DDO from Korea

I've recently had some issues connecting to the game, and was wondering about other Korean DDO players...
I know there are some out there, have you ever had issues connecting?

It seems like there's a problem with my ISP although what that problem is, I have no idea. Who is your ISP?
It was mentioned that a year or so ago, there was a connection problem with Korean players. Anyone know of what the issue was?

Recently I've had some ridiculous packet loss from Seoul but I spoke with KT (Korea Telecom) and they fixed it for the most part.

However I still get some lag now and then but it beats 50% pl at random times. I read somewhere that there is currently massive world packet loss and anything happening internationally could face packet loss (initially the packet loss started around mid April)

Try www.pingtest.net to see if you're getting packet loss outside the country vs a server in Korea. Then run a 'tracert' command in dos prompt for a popular website like google or yahoo to figure out where packets are being lost if it is a packet loss problem.

If the hops are being lost at #2, it's KT or whatever ISP you got. Talk to them, explain the problem.

I've heard Malaysia has suckier providers then us. That's about it though. lol japan prolly has a satellite beaming into every house with a govt build 4 meter antenna to pick up 0% packet loss.
