Bah! nothing to do with the build or how many levels you've multied..I took my fighter @2...and 1 monk level before I even reached RSII...my 2nd monk level was immediately after cleric 12 (12/2/1 @15) AND dumped WIS for the most part...with no Greensteel either...which means around 850 SP (with archmagi RR helm) and a 3 lvl splash at 15. I got TONS of blind invites, lol...but being a nice guy, I rarely accepted any Of course, I gotta agree, a certain character name does lend itself to a certain desirabilty among people who send these /invites

The last such time I weakened and joined one...I was told to "just stand in the back and heal"...made it to the 1st shrine while holding my tongue...shrined...wife started singing IC while I threw the standard group buffs (quickened even just to save a few secs)...3 people tok off before her IC song or my buffs even landed on them....around a corner...down a hall...ding,ding,ding "what happened?"...lol 1st time I ever saw melees not want a free +5/+6 song...and last time I hit accept on a blind invite

Yah, I am going to have to agree with this as well. A name conveys a lot, especially a descriptive one.

Some people don't look at the character levels at all. My barb with a 1 level cleric splash got at least a couple dozen invites to heal groups

Because they are used to playgrounds where you can go to anyone and start playing with them and/or taking their toys.

If you're going down the who list, the least you can do is notice who is grouped and who isn't, and if they're in an instance or not.

Sure, one tell isn't terrible. But It's not unheard of to get a barrage of them, sometimes twice from the same person, and also from other members of that group who've decided to be "pro active" since it was taking too long to fill.

    Eventually you're simply fed up.

Worse than that are beggigg tells. Happened to me very often, the best one was:

    *Give me 800k plat please*

No hello, nothing. Yeah, but I know now why that happened. Too many people got addicted to Yugo pot.s and don't have ingame money anymore.

I hate those blind invitations. Actually most toons on squelch list are the cause of blind invitations.

Commenting on the Who list is useless. If they see you running by they just have to click on you. That's how they adapt to anonymous people. Lurking at the entrances and bam!^^

I will agree that getting a tell while I am healing mid raid is distracting but not something I am going to get enraged over and start squelching people. I would get peeved if it was a rude tell, but in my book, simply being a blind tell, does not make it rude. That is just me.

Having played mostly on the other side of that situation. I can fully understand their frustrations of having all but the "healer" in the group and ready to go.

DDO makes it easy. all ya gotta do is click a name in a list to send a tell. in EQ the clerics with the longest names NEVER got random tells to 'come raise me plz' because no one could TYPE the dang thing out. i even remember one with a particularly convoluted name who specifically said "I'll come raise you for free if you can just send me a tell requesting it." lol.
'course, then my husband had to go and pick a name with only 4 letters.

    Wink Limited Squelch list

Yes the squelch list is limited.
I get blind invites all the time.
I turn them down and reply put up a LFM and if I want in I will join.
I was on my level 20 Artificer and got a begging tell one day from a level 1.
I told them lets got to a private pvp and if you can beat my dog I will give you a little plat.
Never did hear a word from them after.

Try getting 12 within 30 seconds, twice from the same person, 1 or 2 rude remarks for not replying, and from 6 or so other people in that same group who also decided to go down the who list.

So, who's your pure level 20 cleric again, so the nice people know whom to send spam tells to, since you don't mind much?

name shows that I am a healer i totally agree 100% but it doesnt say Invite me. Nothing abotu my name says I love blind invites or tells from people i have never met. if I want to join a group i will ask in channels or look in lfm or maybe send tells to people on my friends list after first /who'ing them to make sure they are not in raid or epics.

In my opinion this behavior is not justified at all. shame on you Orien

I can't tell if your trolling, or just a naturally nasty person. Given all you have listed in MyDDO is a Sorcerer on Solona, I can't see any reason why you are discussion being a cleric on Orien, beyond to troll a topic.

    I'll cite Massivheals.

There's lack of logic in here.

If i send you several blind tells, just squelch me, especially if i am being rude.

If i sent you 1 tell, i fail to understand where is the problem, if your name is "besthealz" maybe you should really use the anon option but, again, you chose that name.

If you send me a tell asking for a tank i won't judge you guilty for receiving others'...

    Default I agree Quilny

What is the worst is I can be in the worst group ever, and everyone adds me as their friend so they can find out if I am online or not just by looking through their friends list. Which lacks information of whether I am in party or not. Then if I am busy and can't send back an immediate reply, they start getting ugly. With more tells. This is a fast route to an ugly reply and immediate squelch. I wish DDO would do something like facebook so that friend requests would have to be approved. This would relieve a lot of my problems. And none of my toons have descriptive names, so that would not help.

    Zizie, Zeelee, etc.
