Alchemical thf metal type

I am making either an earth/air falchion or greatsword. Not sure on the base metal type though. I am leaning toward silver or admantine. What have people made that they like or dislike? Admantine does increase hardness which can be semi useful. Silver wouldn't have much use until/if I would tier3 it for the red crystal.

Flametouched so it is good aligned. Nearly all my alchemicals are flametouched - the only exception to this would be for pure paladins (they already have good alignment on weapons) and monks/unarmed (byshek because it grants another die step in damage).

If you tier 3 it, you get a red slot that you can then add a Red Augment Crystal of Metallic Edges to. Breaks almost every DR in the game.
