epic levels without the expansion pack

I was skimming through the epic destinies thread, but it's quite long...

I have not bought the expansion pack, and plan to unlock it with TP.

It seems that my toons will still be able to get epic levels, just not use epic destinies until I buy it, which as far as I know, I won't be able to do until August.

Questions:
- will I still be gaining destiny xp, which will apply once I unlock it via TP?
- is there anything else I won't be able to access game-system wise? obviously I won't be able to go to faerun and do those quests. I am asking about game mechanics.

I rather doubt that you will earn any Destiny XP without Destinys purchased.

Update 14 will be launching several different, interrelated game features:

1) Level cap raised to 25 (free for everyone)
2) Druid Class (Free for VIPs, everyone else buys)
3) Eveningstar Challenge Pack (Free for VIPs, everyone else buys)
4) Faerun adventure packs (3 of, not free for anyone)
5) Epic Destinies (not free for anyone)

All of those things (except #1 obviously) will become available for TP purchase in August.

Not sure about question 2 but Tolero did say this about destinies:

It would be ludicrous to think that you could. How would that XP even -be- banked? You can't select a Destiny to put the XP into...because you don't have access to Destinies!

I don't know for sure since that is all I can find. To play Devils Advocate a bit though, the only mechanism I remember that was even close was the Leveling Sigils. According to the wiki:

XP was still gained even if the level cap was reached, but Action Points were not credited. Once the appropriate sigil was obtained, the Action Points were regained. It was a common strategy to hold off leveling up in order not to incur XP Penalty on quests.

But keep in mind that the Sigils gated xp. You had already started advancing in the xp system; with Destinies you don't even have that basic access yet.

Now the way Destinies were explained, I am not sure how they could allow the accumulation of Destiny xp without you choosing a Destiny to invest in but who knows? Perhaps someday a Dev will clarify this for us. . .

There is still something I wonder

You will be able to buy access with TP the Epic Destines, but is it JUST those or do you also get access to the expansion pack area?

If it is both - great
If it is only the destines and not the new area, is that something that will be available to buy via TP? or just $$$?
