    Rule for myself

    Dont attack lowbies

    and thats my only rule

There was one sorc, who I reported and nothing ever came of it who instant killed me 30+ times in the lobster, so I moved to the house J pit because my nephew wanted to fight me and he followed us there, and to the house D pit as well.

    Mods never did nothing

So now with Epic Destinies, I wait to see if a sorc is 1 shotting random people and then hit him with an everything is nothing lol

You can create your own instance with the "challenge player" option if you want your exclusive combat area.
You can even have stuff like capture the flag or death match with kill count and death count.
That which does not kill you gives you experience points.

Rule 1 - don't PvP. If rule 1 must be broken, see rule 2
Rule 2 - don't die. Anything else is fair because if they can't handle it, see rule 1.

If I'm ever in the pvp pit (and that's very rarely) I use the limitations Turbine has given me and not a bunch of rules made up in an attempt to "balance" pvp in some way or make it more fun. If I want to dispel, I will. If I want to dot, I will. If people want to hate me for that... well I've been hated on for worse before.

The only enforced rule is no griefing. If you grief, you get a visit from a GM or a vacation for a little while.

That usually means no fascinate locking, or hold locking, or any other way to immobilize a person for long periods with the intent of not killing them.

Other than this, there are no other rules. Players usually make up guidelines or suggestions for conducting yourself down there, but those aren't rules. There are no consequences if you choose to not follow them other than maybe some angry /tells.

I only have 1 rule in PvP

Kill me if you ever see me doing it.......

(ah, this might have a flaw)

There are no official pvp rules except that you can't simply keep someone helpless for a long time without allowing them to exit the arena if they want.

And that's how I pvp. Because anyone who doesn't like it can go up the ladder, release, and leave the bar.

The 1st rule of PvP is to never talk about pvp.

Bad enough so many fun spells are not allowed. if I had it my way grease and ice storm and glitter dust all day long when im bored. Still I recall fun blinding then slowly lvl draining a tough talking 20 ranger one day. He also learned the hard way is holy of disruption bow isnt as effective if I choose to be in normal form. Wizards adapt, its what we do best.

I only pvp on extremely rare occasions, usually when my guildies are all doing it for fun or something like that.

    Here are my rules:

    1. If you do not kill me quickly, you will die.
    2. If you do not immobilize me, you will die.
    3. If you are beating up a lowbie, I will try to kill you quickly.
    4. If you kill me, you are my #1 target.
    5. It is fun to clear the arena on an AA Moncher, but you better get out quick, because reinforcements will be called in who know how to defeat you.
    6. Have fun!

I guess I should add one more rule: Don't mess with the level 25's unless you have epic destinies of your own.

Ultimately, playing PVP in this game especially is like trying to referee a fight between 3rd Graders...
