    Angry madstone boots broken

    Took out my upgraded madstone boots from first life. Striding and dext 6 are working but the madstone effect is not clickie just uses charge but gives bo benifits. wore it through a whole day with no procs. so watch out for your stuff. the ingame GMs were unhelpful (big suprise). awaiting a bug ticket result.

    what class are you?

    If you are a paladin or stalwart in stance you will not get procs and you will not get the effects when you use clickie.

    the stance makes you immune to rage effects.

    Defensive stance was given immunity to Rage a long time ago {don't make me link the -2 AC gimps my build discussions that lead to this}

    In doing this, it effected Madstone Boots Rage and Proc. You will get madstoned in Madstone Crator.

    Basic premise is that while in stance your mind is Overfocused on Defense that you cannot be persuaded by mind altering effects.

    Now, while you cannot benefit from the procs, you can get a short benefit from the clicking. You first must leave defensive stance. Cast any self buffs, including clicky buffs that are not your boots - you won't be able to use them until after the rage subsides. After clicking the Madstone boots, go to defensive stance. You have about 2+ minutes of Madstone.

    I was just going to say something similar. Even having combat expertise on negates rage effects, as does defensive fighting.

    My madstones were defintely working in the cove, when I forgot to take them off I couldn't plant torches or teleporters.

    My only issue with Madstones is that they still have the shaken effect when the rage wears off from when the proposed change a while back was reverted. There is no reason for it.

    Did you have defensive fighting or combat expertise toggled on?

    All it would take would be for defensive fighting (which everyone gets) to be accidentally turned on and the toon now gets no rage buffs.

    I was just in a shroud last night and madstone was working.

    So, if I get madstoned, can I turn it off by toggling defensive fighting on? I gotta test if it works with barb past life Rage...

    edit. Just tested... "You are too enraged to perform this action."

    If defensive fighting is on, no rage style buffs. The OP isnt complaining about the rage disappearing, but the rage proc not working, so Im asking if the defensive ability is already on which would disallow rage procs.
