While I hated they added it in the first place PVP should just be left alone it deserves zero dev. time.

PVP is at best a game of rock paper scissors. Taking out spell absorption does nothing but alter who gets to be the rock.

Well, if they did that, I suppose they would also have to disable spell damage enhancers and dc-uppers for pvp as well, to even it out. And probably disable any and all instakill spells.

Please also consider banning from PVP the boots of kundarak, shield clickies, deathward clickies, greater heroism, and other things I'm forgetting about that offer protection from magic. I'd really like it if I could just dominate PVP as a spell caster and under the current system I cannot and that makes me a sad panda. So hop to it Turbine! My sense of self-esteem needs some inflating when I can finally pwn some noobs in the pits once all these changes to favor my build are enacted.
Please also ban all ranged spells and ranged attacks as my pure fighter can't handle those. In addition, please ban all buffs and armor as that makes it harder for me to hit people. If you could please also ban all weapons except rusty shortswords, I think I could really enjoy PVP more because I can just stand there and my opponent and I can swing at eachother until one of use falls down. Please also ban anyone with more hp than me as it interferes with my winning.

You'd have to change a whole lot more than that to make PvP viable for everyone. As is, it is a one-shot kill fest.
Ideally, you want to disable self-healing but also heavily reduce damage so that it takes about a minute to kill an enemy. You'd have to rebalance all damage spells to be about as efficient and take out mechanics that allow an opponent to be stunlocked or instakilled. Way too much effort.
For the first time in 6 years, I want to douse myself in spell immunity and go caster hunting. Thanks!
