    Default 18 FS 2 Monk ?

Hello, so last time i was running CC and in our group there was a guy whose build got my attention. He was a FS 18 Monk 2. I asked him about his build but he told me it was an old and famous build he found years ago on the forums here.

I've searched but couldn't find it. Anyone knows about a build like that ? I would really appreciate if someone could shouw me a link.

    Thanks in advance.

I believe you may have been speaking to me. These are some of the links that I used to put the build together

If you have access to it, Half Elf will give you better DPS, HPs and Healing Amp.

There is also the decision of caster vs. melee (wis vs. str based). I'd recommend melee for a FvS/monk. While the Water Stance can give +1 DCs, I think a caster clonk is more suitable to a cleric since FvS's simply have too few spell slots to be an offensive caster and splash.

For a melee, you can then go either scimitar based, or handwrap based.

Personally, I really like handwrap based. You have a higher tohit, hit faster, and can used the feat saved on Improved Crit on Stunning Fist, which is a great tool. With a 14 base wisdom, getting a stun DC of effectively 43 is really easy (technically 41, but mobs are -2 on their saves due to the FvS aura). Depending on gear layouts, I think handwraps will often be better DPS than Scimitars, although buying the silver ones to break boss DR is expensive. Fortunately, since you're a healer, no one will deny you to a raid just because you can't break boss DR. Worst case scenario, you could still pull out holy metal weapons vs. bosses with high DR until you can afford the right wraps.

    My build is:
    S: 14 D: 15 C: 14 W: 14 I: 10 Ch: 10
This is 30 points, for a 32 point build you can add to either Str or Con depending on taste and gearset. Helf stat enhancements are great for evening things out. (I'm putting those points, plus 2 more for TRing into Con, but I can easily see Str.)
    Lvlups in Str.
This build pretty much requires a +2 dex tome, and a +2 Cha tome. All other tome are also recommended. (I guess in theory those 2 stat points could save you 1 required tome.... or at least knock the Dex tome needs down to +1)

Skills: max concentrate, max UMD, 1 point in tumble, and as much as can into balance. If you can't get a +2 Int tome at lvl 7, you can either drop UMD, or end up with only a 6 or so balance.... With the tome you have a few spare points, I put them in jump.

Leveling: start with monk for skills, take FvS until you can get Heal (or alternatively, both Heal and Blade Barrier), take one more monk, then the rest FvS.

Feats: Rogue Dilly, TWF, Stunning Fist, Extend (swap to Quicken after getting Heal), Maximize, ITWF, Empower (or Empower Healing), Toughness, Power Attack, GTWF

That's the order I'll take them in, although you might want to swap Toughness and Stunning Fist. I have plenty of twink gear, so I'm not worried about my HPs at lower lvls.
Cannith Server :Vice Sovereign of The Guild of Calamitous Intent

Kalener (Monk) Renelak (backup band) Raoull (Mr. McStabby) Kaleray (laser heals) Kalrah (xbow rogue)

Thanks everybody for the very useful links. It was very likely either Impaqt's or Gratch's build.

ZennyoTheWise thanks a lot for your very useful thread !
