Well not that I want to spend action points but I am muddling through the process of making my Arty more survivable so I am considering the Cavalry armor from the cove.

It does have a blue slot, but as someone who has only collected 6 Epic tokens in almost 2 years of playing I can't see me grinding 30 out for an alt.

    Granted at 25% Asf
    -10% from Pre
-10% 6 AP for medium Armor
    - 5% for lesser casting dexterity

seems like too high of a cost for what I gain.

I have been toying with the idea of a cavalry plate wearing elven wizard. Cavalry plate is much easier to acquire than demon consort bracers.

I've found keeping AC high enough to get missed most of the time is quite easy up through the Vale of Twilight on practically any character without that character losing their abilities. Even better, the new challenges have gear that boosts spell damage as well as gives AC.

Considering that Blur/Displacement don't override AC but work with it, my question is why wouldn't you sit down and figure out how to squeeze AC into a build (giving DCs/damage priority of course)?

Because most of us who don't bother don't spend more than a few days in low level quests on any given character, and have the skill to not be touched unless we choose to be touched, which by the way, we choose quite often to let our torcs work.

(Back when Palemaster was the /Failmaster, and switching lich mode on prevented you from ANY healing AT ALL for 10 minutes with no way to turn it off, it was a fun challenge to engage "gimp mode" during difficult quests like sins elite or shroud elite part 4, and staying alive without any healing during that time, while still killing all the enemies.)

Having said this, these enhancements as they stand are very close to worthless, and if it isn't a big deal, I'd just switch them to 1/1/1/1. If it is and has a chance of conflicting with anything, I'd shrug and wait until the new enhancement system.
Devs: Thanks for making Druids available to VIPs without the pack. This more than anything, has made me want to buy the pack.

Thanks for the replies. I was simply curious. I've learned more than once that listening to others is a fantastic way to see things you haven't.

Here's a thought for those that want the ASF down and DON'T want to grind for tokens or spend the AP's...

    Lesser Arcane Casting Dexterity
Effect: Reduces the arcane spell failure chance by -5%.

Cannith Crafting: Can be crafted on gloves, rings, and trinkets

Thank you for the replies Eladrin. Not the answer I was hoping for, but understand the confusion now anyhow, and truly appreciate the time taken to clarify it.

Would it be possible to get it removed from the known issue list? the inclusion there is furthering the false hope that this may be slated to be 1/1/1/1.

(Or, yknow, make my day and switch it to 1/1/1/1. )

And for those asking, yes, these are taken by pale masters (amongst others) to mitigate damage long enough to let regenerating effects of health and spirit points (via both spells and items) do their thing. It isn't about armor - it is about shields, which is why it is soooo hard to justify as you need 3rd/4th tier to see benefits. Turtling it is often called.

What is your arcane doing wearing armor?

Why bother to pack armor and take the enhancements when :

    1. Blur is more effective than platemail.
    2. Displacement is better than blur.
    3. You can slot arcane spell failure reduction in your gear and use zero AP to do it if you REALLY wanted to wear armor.

So, I'm curious as to the reasons why someone would spend their action points on it other than to make a flavor build?

Back in the days when the level cap was 14, many of the more impressive solo achievements were done by pure AC Wizards in twilight mithral full plate.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

Whoa! Who does Epic Quests for epic dungeon tokens anymore? The Epic raid ones, sure. But the standard ones can be gotten MUCH quicker than one per quest per day. Epic challenges are quick and easy. A couple can even be soloed on Epic by NON Epic/multi TR/Supercharacters. Get many tokens per hour with the Cannith Epic Challenges!
Its FAR easier now than it once was to fill all those Colorful Epic slots!

To muddy things further, we also introduced the 1/1/1/1 progression for skill modifying enhancements.

Since Arcane Fluidity is not a skill modifying enhancement, it should not follow the 1/1/1/1 progression, but instead the 1/2/3/4 progression.

Most things will. Some will still cost 2 AP.
Just to let you know it's still in the known issue list as of patch 13.2 and it says they should cost 1 point per teir.
