Level as a pure sorcerer, get some accomplishments, LR into the level split that you like, retire the character.
Nope, no way to make this work.
Well how loose is your definition of "work" exactly? Virtuoso/Earth Savant would probably be the least terrible combination. Enthrall enemies, let them tick down with acid DOTs.

there are better ways to get nuking into a bard without multiclassing it.
there are better ways to get songs into a sorcerer without multiclassing it.
as such, greater shout. and bard diligette / past life.
The question is Why?
Still there is no positive responses. I thought the forums would have an open mind. "If you wanted some thing mello, get the f..... out of here", Ted Nugent.
Keep in mind most of them are being polite- there really is no way to make that work well, or give it a point. Tell us what you are trying to accomplish with this build, and we can help you figure something out. Bard/sorc gets reptitive; they share a lot of non-damage spells, and you wouldn't have the DCs to make either your bard spells or your sorc spells worth anything.
Melf's Acid Arrow
Master's Touch
Resist Energy,
Acid Blast
Feather fall
Blur
Heroism
Remove Fear
Rage
Repair Moderate Damage
Haste
Acid Rain
Invisibility
Displacement
Force Missiles
Cloud kill
Chain Missiles
Ice Storm
Protection from Elements
Acid Fog
Cure Moderate Wounds
Good Hope
Cure Serious Wounds
Remove Curse
Heighten and Greater spell focus are not inside this build. Those would make the DCs higher. Are those neccessary?
With only 12 levels of sorc, and 8 levels of Bard, your DCs are going to be severely handicapped, not to mention your Spell Penetration.
If you want to invest in DCs, max out your main stat, and get the highest level of spell that you class can cast (for a sorc, that's 18 levels).
Every DC you lose is going to hurt your build - make sure what you are getting in return is worth the pain.

What is it you are trying to do with this build?
Gonna have to echo the other posts- this build is not particularly good at being a sorc or a bard and neither class is giving the other a boost that offsets the lost levels of a pure class.
You guys, stop being elitist.
I'm no expert on 8 bard/12 sorc builds, but I imagine Eschew materials as good a place as any to start - just think of how much inventory space you'll save by not having to carry around two different sets of spell comps!
