Help me decide the gear for my warchanter !

Hello all, so i think i've geared my bard fairly well so far, and i think it's time to move on and start grinding the next gear level.

I'd really like some advice on how to improve this set up, with some comments on how difficult it would be to obtain the items.

The bard is a 34-pts warchanter (16 bard 4 fighter). I want as good dps as i can get and survavibility. I fascinate and cast otto's irr dance a lot.

So far i have :

Armor : epic cavalry plate (toughness)
Weapons : eAG terror MinII LitII other utilities
Goggles : GS HP item (not the best slot i know)
Wrist : Etheral Bracers
Boots : GS Con Opp
Head : Thereza' Perfect Sight ( TS + Sora Kell) - E Big Top (when i need UMD boost)
Gloves : Maenya's Iron Fists (+6 STR / Sora Kell)
Ring 1 : Katra's Razor Wit (+6 CHA / Sora Kell)
Ring 2 : Proof Against Poison / Heavy Fort
Belt : Colethenis
Cloak : Stormsinger's Claok / Bard Cloak
Trinket : Sustaining Symbiont (+10 % fort / Exc CON +1)
Neck : Disease Immu / Prot +5

So where should i start improving 1st ? One of the biggest complaints i would have with this character is that even fully buffed (protects, resists, fireshield, stoneskin etc...) i get beatten up a lot faster then the other melees during boss fights (hard-elite shroud, ToD, eChrono...). Sometimes when i notice that i'm being spot healed too often by the healers i just pull out of fight and start scroll healing instead of beatting on the boss.

All the gear looks pretty good to start all thats left is probly some epic gear
and some tod sets maybe some cannith gear if u got the packs.

first off the ssora kell set needs to go..

replace it with the canith fabricator set.

fabricator set is not that difficult to get.

replace thereza sight with minos leges.

minos not difficult to get.

for neck tod set neck or torc would be nice..

+3 spell pen on a splashed warchanter is always a big +
if you use oid a lot wich has a spell resist check.

tod neck not difficult to get torc very difficult to get..

ring 2 shintao set paired with shintao neck is nice for a melee bard.
or ravager set since you got the belt already.

you can make a crystal cove helm if you want has added benefit you can chose how it looks also

seeker6 +15perform
heavy fort +15perform
seeker and potency6 is in my opinion hardest to get in other slots so should be first option but if you cant fit in heavy fort anywere else could make one of those

That build is super sharp (Warcrye)

My main toon "Atropine" was a 15BRD/3ROG/2FTR his first life, though I did eventually eat a +5 Heart to go pure BRD for a while.

Anyway, melee Warchanter bards with some fighter/barb splash can be really super fun.

Things to add for the OP...your gear looks really great
*I would include a ranged weapon to just for hitting switches and stuff.
*Work in a Triple Positive Maul for skele beating. I suggest Holy/Good Burst/Healing Amp 30%. The reason...the BEST healing amp while giving up the WORST DPS (Good Blast).
*I don't particularly like Wrath of Sora Kell Set
*Torc..I know they don't grow on trees...bu keep trying to get one.
*Tharne's Goggles...craft your HP item somewhere else (and I would make my HP a concord/opp item and I mistakenly put my HP item into my goggle slot...then pulled tharne's the very next day)
*I like my +150 SP and +6CHR skill boots...they only suck for ToD, but I just use my SP then put on the Anchoring Boots
*Minos in the head dept
*I suggest farming a "Fanion" shield for when you need it...or an Epic Kundarak (I know...they don't grow on trees also)
*Try to get Levik's Bracers and use those...
*Spectral's for fighting ghosts and stuff
*Bramblecasters in my opinion are *THE* best gloves in the game...seriously I love these for my play style (Torcing)
*7 Fingered Gloves if you like doing the Titan raid (UMD)
*Head of Good Fortune (UMD)
*SoS and ESoS (I know easy answer)
*You obviously need a Mad Lute...because it looks cool
*Bonesplitter is super nice also if you can pull one before your Triple Pos Maul is made
*Get those Ioun Stones that you want/need

I'm going through a similar process of determining gear before TRing my 18 Bard/2 Fighter Warchanter into a 15 Bard/3 Rogue/2 Fighter Warchanter. If it helps, here is how I am currently geared and what gear I am aiming for ultimately.

Weapons: eAGA, Epic Elemental Axe of Fire, Lit II, Cannith Crafted (ESOS eventually, maybe, though this toon is like 3rd on my priority list for it)

I could go Epic Charged Gauntlets and Conc Opp Boots, but I like having the Cha skills bonus for scrolling in ToD. But the other way works fine as well.

For near-term gear changes for you, I'd agree with the others that you should ditch the Sora Kell set. Since you crafted HP goggles, if you don't want to recraft your HP item you could always get the Epic Brawling Gloves for +7 STR and Sneak Attack +4. You should probably also start working on ToD sets. And if you're worried about survivability, the Bracers of the Glacier can help a lot again Pit Fiend bosses due to the constant Fire Shield proc.

That's not toughness, that is superior false life giving you 40 hp.

This means you could still use minos legen helm and get 20 more hp

I don't hate it like so many others, but prefer it on a melee divine while working on a TR.

Bracelet of Madness is pretty sweet too.

It's not so much that I hate it, but rather that it's more leveling equipment. It is undeniably fantastic for bards and melee divines during the leveling process, but three slots for its benefits is quickly supplanted at cap.

I plan to use Epic Shimmering Pendant after I get the Epic Cloak so I can swap when I need perform. Otherwise, perform doesn't really need a permanent spot.

I'd like to point out that Warcrye is sitting as a 16/2/2 build for the time being until we know more about Enhancement changes.

Also, her gear was designed purely around max DPS for a bard, not utility. I've made quite a few changes towards her gear and swap gear recently. If I get a shot, I'll update the thread, or make a new one. Suffice to say, the Challenge Gear opens up a whole new method of CC for her
