Default Game Time Card update to VIP Error

The Product Key you have entered cannot be used to upgrade this subscription due to an invalid upgrade path. [err: 29308]

Appearantly this error is still going around... bought a key and got the error again. How is it possible to not fix this? At least put a sticky up that this error is still happening instead of that stupid GTCs are fixed! No, they are not fixed! Yeah i know... write a ticket... you know what? I did that already. But i want to play now and not in a week, when my vacation is gone.

Sorry but according to the forums this thing has been around in years and turbine hasnt done anything to fix it. You guys officially suck. And then a few work days to get an answer to a ticket? I dont even know how i was so naive to think that things could have changed for better after a couple of month break

    edit:

Almost the same error i got last year for every month i wanted to extend my VIP. Its simply frustrating...

I"m not sure if this could help, but is there any prepaid cards (Visa/Mastercard) available in your country? That could be an alternative if you don't want to use a credit card.

I'm not from the US and I'm using a prepaid card (Visa) to become VIP and I haven't had any problems so far.

My CC Company is not supported by Turbine and frankly i dont want to get another card for a computergame. Even if it is prepaid. And i already bought the GTC. Its just 14,- but i really dont feel like gifting money to a company who doesnt take customers that want to pay for their products seriously.

Paypal is not an option either, since my friend got the same error with paypal. I really cant believe why this issue hasnt been fixed yet.

Ok, well all the best to you. I was just suggesting the prepaid card as an alternative maybe after this GTC thing, since it causes so much problem to you and if I'm not mistaken, it's slightly more expensive?

    Good luck!

SO im the friend who tried it via PayPal...i bought myself about 5 time vip status and everytime i got a error mmessage ! This time i saw that PayPal is enabled and thought " wow they offer PayPal they wouldn if it dont work so i used it and....BAM again error .... I wrote a Ticket (like usual) 2 days ago , and nothing since then . Its just hilarious how they support there customers .

The funny thing is VIPs are treated like Kings. As i was a Vip a ticket took 1-2 houres till there was a response now i want to be a VIP and i takes Days !

Month ago i was disappointed and stopped playing DDO, and now i wanted to give it a new try and it begins with disappointment.

Is that the way customers should be treat ???

Don't spread FUD, tickets are replied to in order regardless of account status. This has been brought up dozens of times on the forums and everyone has been told the same answer every time.

Sry but thats just not true i wrote tickets as Premium and VIP , thats two different worlds.
Dont get me wrong i can understand why people who pay for the game are better treated, but the point is i did pay for the game 3 days ago but i didnt got my Vip status or a answer to my ticket and the money is withdrawed from my bank. (Btw I'm not a native English speaker. So pls dont mind my worse english)
This is not a hate post to turbine , i love the game and those guys doing a great job but payment issues for years is something i just cant understand .

If you haven't done so already, I would submit a ticket to the Account Management team with the Game Time Card you purchased, as well as the error that you are receiving. They will get to your ticket as quickly as possible in the order that is received.

When you submit a support ticket to any department using the Support Website, the tickets are done in the order that they are received, not depending on Player Tier. If you are Free Premium and submitted a ticket before a VIP, your ticket will be dealt with first. However, depending on how many tickets are before yours will determine when they will be able to get to it. I believe the turn around today is a couple of business days for Account Management. So, if you submit the ticket now, it may be a couple of days before they have a chance to help. But, as soon as they can get to it, they'll be happy to help
