I pretty much use soloing stuff for testing out things, so I don't usually play it that safe.

I also have the strong belief that the more risk you take, the more you learn how to stay alive when stuff goes crazy bad in a raid or something.

When I'm with my guildies or people I know, I might goof off and die, but I know that they can back me up. If it is an unknown group where something goes wrong, I'll often times be the last one standing even on my melee's, and I'll be raising people. I've learned how long I can survive certain things, how long it takes to recharge scrolls, etc, and other little tricks. I am often times quite shocked at the EPic geared toons with 800-1000 HP who can't survive when the littlest thing goes wrong.

depends on which char i'm using. If I'm on my fvs it's wild rampage and use blade barriers to clean up the mess. If i'm on my archer it's sniper mode slow and steady wins the race. Both have merrits and both have certain quests that they have issues with while the other does not. my other method is my paly who basicly is a mixture of both as the paly can agro a ton of stuff going wild then slowly kill them one at a time lol.(tank build)
Though if you are solo as long as you are having fun with the playstyle required for your choosen build then it's all good
