requesting a multiclass range damage build

Hi everyone im currently looking to TR for my 36 point build

I have never been anything but meele and I do not enjoy casters so i am looking for a ranger type build

Ive seen a lot of posts about people testing 10k stars and useing many shot but i realy have a hard time to understand.

my questions are:

Are the manyshot/10k star builds good DPS (i want to keep up with groups obiously)

Could you reccomend build a build (i have all races and classes unlocked)

A very very good BURST dps build is helves angle (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=289591) build. It is a burst DPS build while manyshoit is active then melee TWF dps on cooldown. I don'k know if you are looking for a ranger or primarily ranged build. I would not go a only range build because they just don't cut it for endgame but leveling up they're very good.


Note: Go khopehes instead of heavy picks because Darkstar posted this before autocrits were taken away. Change all the piece feats to slashing.

I personally think the arti/roge combo of mechanic and a repeater is awesome ranged DPS.

There is alot of ways to do it.

They can be killing machnes and also are very versitile and fun to play.

thanks for the replys guys this gives me hope for the build i was looking for . If i could perhapse do the fighter / ranger / monk

but I hear 10k stars is very good now due to recent changes and complements manyshot well.

I dont mind what class it will be as long as its a good range dps build

If you want to use a bow most of the time and be useful while you're using it, the only option is 10k stars. Within that option (at least 6 monk) are two basic sub-options which are mutually exclusive:

-at least 11 ranger, giving you free GTWF and IPS and letting you disregard base Dex (among other things)
-at least 12 monk, giving you Earth stance 3 (among other things)

If you merely want to use ranged most of the time, there are several other options, including but not limited to the artificer mentioned.

10k stars requires 14 dexterity it is important to remember.

Here are my collection of AA builds. Any of the first 3 are more or less "optimal"; 12 monk/6 ranger/2 fighter or artificer and 11 ranger/6 monk/3 artificer. The others are more flavourful.

by chance i have a realy nice 12 monk 6 ranger 2 figther planed on the char planner i wanted to try but im going to check these builds out first !
