Forum Language keeps jumping to German and English

Hi I like to jump in and read forums every day, but lately the menus are often in french or german. Then when I clumsily maneuver my way to the User CP and Language Settings, it says ENGLISH! I have to change it to german then back to english to fix it. Whats going on?

I don't know what could be causing your problem. but you can change languages very quickly at the bottom left of most forum displays including the main message index so at least that will let you change back very fast until you figure out what's going on...

I'm having a similar problem, where some of my forum headings are in French and some are in English. For example, the first three and fourth are English (Dev Tracker, etc) and the rest (eg Derniers Messages) in French.

The "welcome Donblas" bit is in french.

UPDATE: item Delivery issues is English, The blurb about DX10 problems is in French.

What browser are you using to view the forums?

If you have more than one browser installed on your system, does the language mix-up happen with the other browser as well?

You could check in your system's control panel and your browser settings to make sure that your language settings are set to English, rather than "default" or an automatic detection. (My guess is that your issue isn't due to this, but it doesn't hurt to check.)

It's been so long since I set up my Turbine account, but was there a setting in there for language? The Turbine account is separate from the forum account, but I believe the two are linked or associated with each other somehow.

Do you have an autotranslate plug-in for your browser that might be going haywire?

My brain is stumped on this one, but I'm throwing ideas out there...

I have played the game for over 2 years, forums just started playing up earlier today. I changed nothing recently.

It's a bug with their forum software (or their configuration of it). It seems to happen when you read certain posts.

There's a drop-down menu at the bottom of every page to change it back.
