I managed to make my female helf bard passable. Took some doing during character creation with just the right hair color, style, and skin tones. Then I added some goggles. I think in a dark bar with enough beer you'd take her home. Just don't take off the goggles.

they did! they added the spider cult mask you can now staple that to all your half elven character's faces, instead of needing to farm out epic helms of frost of each and every one of them!

in all seriousness, it just takes some playing around and you can get some passable results, half orcs on the other hand are ugly as sin, and not just the face... their entire body needs a rework. (WF... they get a free pass since they're semi construct and all.)

I dunno... half-orcs are SUPPOSED to be ugly. They are ugly, but in a good way. Aesthetically ugly, I should say.

LOL that is exactly what I did. I tried pink hair and a bag over her head- nothing worked until the spider cult mask.

It looks like the base design without the entire addons to it; wrinkles, curves... If Looks plastic. I love half elves really. Best race imo alongside with warforged.

Warforged need a female version, and half elves need a face upgrade.

They are embarrassing. One of the original reasons I tried DDO (aside from the fact that is D&D) was that it wasn't stupid-looking.

Now it is, in places. And the helven face is one of the worst offenders.

Honestly they could have taken the current human models, scaled them to size between humans and elves, given them pointy ears... And I think EVERYONE would have been happier with them.
