Default Attention Military Vets on Cannith

I am currently trying to build a guild on the Cannith server for military vets. I myself am a former U.S. Navy Corpsman who spent 4 years active and 8 years reserve, including a tour in Iraq in 2004-2005. Former and current military members from all branches of service from any nation are welcome. Voice is preferred, but not required. It is currently level 23 and has a little ship to call its own. I plan to upgrade on my own dime at 25. There are no real play requirements (I have a life and a family that needs tending to from time to time myself). If this sounds like it may be of interest to you, please post a reply telling me a little something about yourself. Include your character's name, including alts, and I will happily send you an invite within a day or two. The guild's name is Celer Silens Mortalis, and my main character's name is Slayu. He is currently lvl 20, but I have alts of various levels. Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you in the game. Thanks.

I hate your not on Argo, we have 4 vets off the top of my head in our guild. I have two all expense paid vacations to Iraq under my belt as a medic (05 and 09). You weren't by chance under II Mef in the 04 timeframe where you?

Thank you for server your country. I also am on Argo but wish you all luck in getting your guild up. I served in 1996-2000 on a 688I so yes I am a bubblehead (when people cast the underwater breathing spell I have to laugh.).

At work today, but I'll kick out an invite tomorrow. I have some characters around that level range I can jump on with you. And no, I got in country when I MEF took over, so would probably have touched down as you were leaving. Took over for 2/2 just south of Baghdad.

Appreciate everyone's replies. Anyone from other servers who perhaps wish to roll one toon on Cannith for slow days are welcome as well. Perhaps in time this guild could become a common ground for people with any military background, kind of like the Stormreach VA. I may also check out Argo and Orien as well, so let me know who to look for and I'll look you guys up.

83= Grenada/Lebanon. Not a full-on war, but a scuffle in the time frame.

ESS... How close were you guys tied in with the Photo Interpreters? One of the best friends I made (then lost contact with) during that time was a PI named Alan Baker.
    I miss the 80s.

    /End of derail.

    Dear Slayu,
I am an Artificer of some skill, and I'd like to join your group as your gear-enhancer and caretaker. Being a warforged, there are very few things I like more then passing the night polishing, enhancing and inventing equipment and armaments for my fellow guildmates. Unfortunately, the guild I was in moved to Argonesses so I am now looking for like-minded people to group with. Mostly my workshop keep me very busy, being my talents in so high demand, but I manage to keep the weekend to satiate my thirst for adventures.

If you are interested, let me know.

Hi, nice to meet you, I am an italian veteran. I served 6 years as an academy officer and then another 20 as special forces instructor (I guess my "specialist" attunement reflects in the DDO specialist classes too lol). I am just arrived on the Cannith server even if I created my account on 2008 at the start of the game. I moved from Argonesses because I found way too many "kids" playing there for my tastes ...kids being referred not to an age problem but with a "way of playing" one. For now I have an Artificer liv 4 Veteran (I dislike starting at 7 even if I can) and I am doing Korthos quests. I plan to arrive in Stormreach in a day, so I hope to find you there soon

    kind regards,
    Belfagor

Just picked up level 25 and aquired a new airship. I would like to extend an invitation to any mature players who are willing to remain loyal to a lower level guild while it builds up. Please post a reply with your character(s) name(s) and I will invite soon. Thanks for you interest.

Sure thing. Let me know the names of any characters you make on Cannith, and I'd be happy to send an invite.
