So before I launch into my main problem, let me provide some backstory. My computer has two user accounts, one was originially intended for gaming while the other was for file sharing. The gaming user had Dungeons and dragons online installed, but a debilating virus made that account completely unable to play any games, so I changed the file share account to play games on that one.
After a few months of not playing DDO, I decided to give it another shot, and ran the program sitting in the program files(x86) folder. The game did not run properly, and so I figured it would be best to reinstall DDO.
After going through the uninstall prompt and then deleting the Turbine folder on my computer (wanted as much of a clean start as possible) I went here to this site and downloaded the setup file. There were no problems with game installation, until the last part. I had successfully installed the game and as the setup window was entering its final phase, it responded with unable to execute file in temporary directory, error 5: access is denied.
With a little bit of research, I figured out that the problem was something more or less along the lines of My original account had administrator privileges to run DDO, while my fileshare account does not. Both users have regular administrative privileges and Yet my fileshare account is asking for permission to use this item from the gaming account. From what I can understand, I need permission from my old account to run DDO in my new account, despite the fact that the new account installed DDO with their administrator privileges and has administrator privileges itself.
So my question is, how can I get my old account to "allow" my new account to use DDO? Please help.
