Default Is it just me or have the quests gotten easier?

It's been quite a while since I have run a lv 1 through Korthos and when I ran in Lamannia for the last couple of days, I was able to run without a healer through Korthos on normal and hard(after which I got lv 20 xp ). Im not sure if knowing what to expect has made it easier or if this was by design, but knowing I can do this kind of took some of the excitement out of it.

*This is not a chastisement- just an observation and a curiosity as to whether or not my perception is skewed by having been in DDO for a while.

    your perception has been skewed.
the fact that you have game and tactical knowledge makes things seem way easier than your remember.

My bro-in-law just commented to me the other day about how easy korthos was. I remember him saying how hard cannith manufactory was when he ran it the first time back when he started.

So it isnt easier , you are just better.

Knowing the quest ahead of time does more for your ability to get through the quest successfully than any amount of gear or build points.

Indeed because of Vet Status I havent done Korthos in forever and I only remeber Misery's Peak taking me like at LEAST an hour every time if not longer...redid it today introducing a friend to the game and it barely took 20 minutes.

Sometimes I think it has to do with experience but then Ill make a new toon or even on a TR run into that one quest that kicks your butt for no good reason lol. But I definelty believe that knowing what to expect does make the quests easier for you and as far as not having a cleric as you go up lvls you'll still need one even if you know the quest in some.

The second big room was streamlined a bit and now isn't anywhere near the size of the first one.

It was just MP though. The quest involved such ridiculous amounts of running around.

Oh the room where you climb up for like an hour just to have to walk (or wall slide) back down to the bottom?

Oh thank goodness. I haven't been in MP in forever - I remember it was like 90% distance that made that one take so long to finish.

I think making the altar rooms larger in heyton's rest makes that quest easier
