Default Loading issues after being logged in.

I have been noticing more lag-type issues on loading in once you have logged in, for the character select screen, the characters don't appear right away, but once selected and then as the game loads on the loading screen it tends to hang there for a minute as the loading bar doesn't show signs of it budging and then loads.

I find it odd since the game has worked well in the past, with the exception of character swapping causing client lag with issues on memory page faults not being released.

I had even tried this after a fresh format, updated drivers, and a clean install of the game. There has to be something that is going on, other high res mmos and games I have played had no difficulty, but it is leading me to having the impression that ddo is becoming more like bloatware hogging more and more resources with each update, I hope that isn't the case and there are some things that can be done to fix or address the issues.

Again, a very familiar story. Which graphics card do you run?

    Nvidia GT240

    Driver date 02/29/2012
    Driver Version 8.17.12.9610

The driver is straight from Nvidia itself.

You could try uninstalling every version of nVidia software from the add/remove programs section. The system will reboot to complete the nVidia uninstallation. Then go back into add/remove programs and uninstall any nVidia software that might still show up. Repeat until no nVidia software is on your system, and then let Windows use its own built-in driver for your graphics card. See if that makes a positive difference.

(In recent weeks, I've been wondering if DDO and newer nVidia drivers aren't getting along very well.)

Here is another thing, does the same thing on a different system with an ATI card... it's not a freeze, just lagged out on loading screens when first entering the game, after that everything is normal, with the exception of multiple character swaps creating client lag.

I actually tried this to the point I basically removed all drivers and windows was saying I had to install a driver or it couldn't run anything. I did this but the problem is still there.
