    Default Preliminary feedback

    Okay one hour in.

The transistions between actions on Lamannia are a lot smoother than in live. For example on live if your character is running and jumps about 50% there is a noticible little hitch, I would say that transistion on Lammania is under 5% of the time now.

I have run into a number of invisible objects on Lamannia with my characters, usually in place where objects would be if the event they are there for a live. (The dude in the harbor who teleports you to Smuggler's Rest for example)

Mob Spawns appear to be faster and smoother, in part 1 of the Shroud the spawns from the portals just seemed to be a lot faster than on live. It's like once the server decides it starts teh process where we get little hints it is going to happen on live now.

I saw fewer attacks lost to the bit bucket. I saw a grand total of 2 missed attack (where you do the animiation and nothing happens) in the first hour. On live I swear it can be once per mob.

I didn't lose anywhere near the number of magic attacks with my spell caster as I normally do. Still a few went into the bit bucket but not one in four or five that I am used to.

A large number of textures must have been rerendered. Seams have moved on a number of armor clothing.

Everything is looking much smoother. I had some strange acceleration issues going up the steps to the upper level of the Phiarlan enclave, but they didn't repeat, so it may have been local lag.

I also found a miniquest in the IQ which made use of my FvS religious lore knowledge. Extremely cool.

I would agree everything seems a bit smoother. Hopefully that is due to the upgrade(s) and not low server population.

Repeaters seem to be losing very few shots (better tracking?) which is especially noticeable in Challenges.

Also, my iron defender seems to be having an easier time attacking.

I still experience significant UMD swap lag. It isn't as bad as I experience it on live, but still significant enough to become an issue if server population is restored to that of live.

I wish that the effects applied to your character can be smoothened somehow. Its terribly detrimental in practice to have to glitch through everytime you want to swap an item.

Everything's much smoother, except said swap lag. <happy dance> I also ran around the vale a bit tripping/paralyzing some ogres, didn't have problems with them scooting around on their back while held. Wondering if the new physics engine finally fixed this, or I just got some really lethargic mobs

Where did you find the miniquest? I'm probably just overlooking it.

As far as performance, I have noticed that when you are swimming and you jump, the animation is much smoother. The FvS wings transition a lot better. Still got a ladder to bug out. Still got item swap lag.

    Overall quite impressed so far

When swinging my dorf axe, the mob registers being hit while my axe is raising for the swing not during the actual swing.

I seem to have less lag than on real server even from wayfinder (who have low pop). So the update I think to reduce lag. I did some quests and still have some lag in acute delirium on casual. However this may be because I got a not so great internet connection. Some quest appear to have lot more lags than others but the lag stay even if you finish the quest and walk to the marketplace. So this may be an issue?

If you teleport in, there's a mother and father arguing with one of the Inspired about their daughter's conversion to the Path of Inspiraton nearby. If you engage him in conversation, I got [Sovereign Host] dialog options like you would bluff or diplomacy. I got 100xp for convincing him to make sure the couple's daughter would not be harmed by any of the Inspired.

Yes. Just had it happen again during the STK runs.

I'm still having lots of problems in the water. When jumping out of water, when I hit the apex of the jump I'm immediately rubberbanded back into the water.

Ladders seen better, although now instead of getting stuck at the bottom of a ladder I'm getting stuck at the top. I'm getting stuck less overall. I did have one weird thing happen in STK: I was being attacked by a guard and jumped on the ladder, and seemed to get stuck on his weapon. He was swinging his axe and I was on top of it in the "falling" animation. I've never had that happen before

Also seemed to have higher FPS overall.

Not much to report on my side, I ran and jumped around the market a bit, killed a few skellies in the Sub... didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, which I guess is a good thing

I ran a giants vault with my 20 halfling monk. Performance was about as expected. Annoying invisible block geometry that knocks you off the wall climb still there. Didn't notice any new ones, the major old ones I almost always hit but work around are all still there. It does feel different in terms of momentum -- I think the start of jumping has changed and that's what is doing it for me, but I'm not sure.

For the little I did, can't complain.

I jumped into the two spots that I always get lag in, because I was curious if there was any change. First, I went to the Siegebreaker with the giant barrels. After blowing up the barrels, I always get crippling lag. However, this time on Lamannia, the lag wasn't too bad after the explosions. It was still there, but more in a strobelight sort of way, instead of completely freezing the screen seconds at a time. Also, the "fog" seems to clear much quicker now. Second, I went to Acute Delerium on the airship with Beholders. I usually get lag so bad in this spot that I try to stay in the center of the ship so I don't accidentally walk of the ship from the lag. Again, there was a bit of lag in this spot also, but completely managable for me.

Something I have noticed, but I'm not sure if it's a real change or I'm just perceiving it as a change... Mobs that fire Rays seem to be in superspeed (their rays, not them) to me now. When they point, the ray fires off and I'm hit. To me, there seems to be little to no time to react to dodge the Rays. On a similar note, archers seem to be firing arrows at a faster rate. Again, I'm not sure if it's really faster or if I'm perceiving it as being faster than on Live.

I thought that spells I would have been dodging before were hitting me more often too, but I hadn't investigated why that seemed to be.

What about PC Archers? Them, too? I'd put up with mobs firing faster if I could, too!
