Get your characters transferred and your dungeon running faces ready because you will never have seen a Dev event series like this.

The first event will be tonight at 5 pm EST and will will stay till 8 pm EST and a QA Admin will be in Korthos, Harbor, The Market or Three Barrel Cove. Choose your place (poison) of choice and ask that QA member for gear and xp for those areas. We will also have an event tomorrow night at 5 pm EST and will will stay till 8 pm EST and a QA Admin will be in House Philarn, House Denieth, Korthos, or the Harbor.

Lamannia Party!

Hey folks! For the next three weeks we are going to be running a community party on Lamannia! From Thursday April 12th, through April 28th we will be having events on Lamannia! You personally can win 250 Turbine Points once a day, just for showing up! That’s right! Every day, for just for coming to Lamannia you can win Turbine Points. If you win every day for a week that is 1750 Turbine Points! Not a bad deal eh?

Why are we doing this? Well, we updated some of the backend of the game, including the physics engine. What does this mean…well…everything will be better of course! But…that also means we need to monitor the performance of these changes with “normal” player behavior. There had to be a catch right?

What we are looking for is anything out of the ordinary, traps not trapping, moving platforms not moving, animations broken on monsters, spells not working or looking weird, bosses not being bossy, and anything else that is out of the ordinary or looks weird when you play YOUR character. These backend systems touch a broad range of features in DDO-the guts of the game so to speak.

So here is how we will be focusing on the feedback:

Every two days we will look at a region. There will be Devs/OCR or QA kobolds around every other day to hand out loot, levels and whatnot to make your questing easier.

So come join us! Have some fun, get some free prizes and hang out with the creators of DDO! Help us get the universe ready for the Forgotten Realms!

I rolled up a new character and ran him around Korthos for a while this afternoon (U.S. Central Time) just to see what, if anything, had changed gameplay-wise, and didn't see anyone else, and no LFMs up either, for any level. Not sure what might have been happening elsewhere (Harbor, Market, etc.) but it sure seemed empty to me.

Maybe they did two days in a row because they didn't plan on being on this weekend? If so it could have been communicated just a wee bit better.

Only about 20 folks on most all day. Most I had on in my guild was 12 all different levels. Lammy is a ghost town unless there is a event..

I noticed someone was on yesterday by the name of Kookiekobld. I doubt it was him though.

One, the name was misspelled and
Two, he showed up on the Who screen

I suspect someone just made a character with a similar name for goofs and giggles. . .

Hope not.
Tried the waterworks at 7pm EST with a new Art/PM Wiz and found it rather Laggy. Targeting was the off, iron defender was still stupid and wouldn't attack, but the summoned dog and warrior did a better job of attacking.
For some reason, even though I had the Kobolds targeted, the barrels off to the side were being hit. And they were well off to the right side 2 oclock position. But I've seen that before too.

not only that but it seems that unless people are 20's they've forgotten how to quest, took me back to the launch of f2p with the duh-ness of some of the peeps i ran with, but hey, offer free stuff EVERYONE comes to see.


but I did slam thru alot of lower stuff, and did not hang up/hitch on ladders.. anywhere i tried. Is a huge huge huge good deed....if its not simply insanely good luck.

I found it rather empty, too - which I found a bit refreshing, I must say.

I did post, however, about "Lammannia" and about the events in another forum, though.
Which means that no-one can blame me for not spreading the word.

Installing and updating the game client seemed to take forever, by the way.
