Default Reign No ML Ring Squishiest Gear?

For all the hullabaloo surrounding these uber no ML rings they break REALLY quickly and OFTEN being Hardness of "2" Gold ffs.

Only farmed a couple, lost interest quickly and the one no ML +3 Charisma ring of Power IV breaks/takes damage first of all my gear all the time in every quest and is pretty much junk to be crafted on (being BTA is its only saving grace and that marginal due to the ease of getting BTA gear in Lowbie Market Quests).

Even the No ML GFL ring my guildy pulled is just so much junk given the speed and frequency it breaks.

So yeah they seemed UBERESTEST NO ML UBER AWESOME RINGS with hardness/durability lower than a wet napkin.

You pretty much will have to bind them to one character with an alchemical ritual and harden them to keep them.

Planned obsolescence is actually nicer than being BTC when you pick them up. You end up picking which toon to bind them to after they break and you have to farm the adamantine to fix them.

I never bothered getting any of these since I fight literally no mobs between levels 1 and 3, and usually only a handful between 3 and 5 (invis and run quests FTW!). By level 5 you can craft BTA +4 stat items and by level 7 you can craft BTA GFL. I'd recommend those over the Reign items for their durability.

Huh, I use those from 1-8 pretty much and it's been rare for one to break. All my melee characters have AC though and therefore almost never get hit.

    1) Obtain 0 ML fragile ring.
    2) Perform adamantine ritual on ring.
    3) There is no step 3
    4) Profit

What's the problem? It even stays BtA when you do the ritual.

    >This.. except for the profit part...It is too precious to profit from..

Should be swapping the ring out as you get to higher levels anyway.
Its like using a ring of Feathers at high level... pointless as it breaks too easily.
Keep it on your lowbies and trade up as you level.

I'm fairly sure they don't lose BTA status if you put an adamantine ritual on it.

They don't. Attuning BTA items leaves them BTA.

    Default Hmmm

I was under the impression the Addy Ritual made them BTC.

Was really just running these pre-patch with guildies who had the fever for Hvy Fort and GFL at level 1.

I suppose if I had known they remain BTA after the ritual I may have farmed some that were more hmmm useful?

But with Cannith Masterfully Crafted Items I already have for my TRs ...

    and

    Ioun Stones

    and

Thinking. The time it could have taken to loot lottery farm a no ML GFL or Hvy Fort Ring is about 20 times longer than the time it takes to level from 1 to 5 and wear the ml5 BTA Heavy Fort ring I cannith crafted.

But good to know that BTA gear remains BTA after assy ritual. Thanks for that tip!
