    Default Lightning Bolt Suggestion

Certainly this is a small thing, but I would like to see lightning bolts track moving targets just as frost lance and scorching ray do.

I'd like them to ricochet off walls like they did in Baldur's Gate

    UDR Loot Rules:
    1) No griefing people for pulling loot that dropped in their name
    2) When rolling, classes for which the item is "useful" get +10 to the roll
example: Wiz and Barb both roll on a Torc, the barb saying "I'm TRing into an arcane next week"
Wiz gets +10 on his roll

This would have the side effect of making Harbor elites (the ones with lots of kobold shamans) extremely difficult at-level without an airship 30 resist electric shrine.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

ha, it should turn to friendly fire after it hits the first wall. The first caster to take themselves out with a ricochet wins a prize.

*grins* I actually did that once or twice in Baldur's Gate! You gotta be careful in those underground areas~

Hey, maybe that could be a metamagic feat? Or perhaps you can turn on "friendly-fire mode" and gain a bonus to experience if you complete it in that mode

LOL same here. I wiped my entire group in that one optional dungeon from the expansion, below the ruined village. I laughed for several minutes.

Unlike lightning bolt, both scorching ray and frost lance do not continue on after they strike their intended target, lightning bolt passes through it and has the potential to strike a lot more creatures. A fairer comparison would be Acid blast or Fire ball, since those also can strike multiple creatures, and neither of those is 'guided'.

    This ^

Frequently when I use a lightning bolt I'm really looking to hit the 3 or 4 mobs lined up behind the first one. I'd rather miss the one in front if it means I hit the other mobs.

Ah, how nice would that be to play through a DDO quest chain that is a remake of Baldur's Gate series.
