Hello all,

I am a 36 yr. old Dad and full-time college student looking for an active guild. I prefer an RP guild if possible and I am especially interested in any that are spellcaster themed such as a wizardry academy, etc. I haven't played DDO in a few years so I am definitely looking forward to finishing my last semester after I graduate next month.

Until then my gametime can be random at times, but I try to be online at least a little everyday. I have played mmo's since the 90's so I'm not new to guilds and their structures either. I am also a Marine, so the more organized the guild the better in my opinion.

Nothing personal also, but guilds lead by anyone under 17 need not reply. It's a longshot, but hopefully I can find a guild with members close to my own age because I prefer babysitting my own kids, not somebody else's. On a last note, if I join a guild with voicechat, I prefer one that doesn't promote vulgar or rude language since I don't want my son to listen to that stuff.

Wow, viewed 45 times and no active RP guilds close to what I described apparently. Seems this server either doesn't have active RP or there are very few active guilds.

Neither are very encouraging when a person has to decide if a mmo is worth putting time into.

If anyone at least knows of a more active RP server, I would be grateful. After all, it would be fairly strange if DDO of all mmo's doesn't have any RP since that is what Dungeons & Dragons is about in the first place.

Khyber does not have an active RP community at all. I have played since launch and I have never ran into one. That doesn't mean they're not out there, they may just keep to themselves and run guild-only runs.

From what I hear, Thelanis has a few roleplaying guilds. If you go to the Thelanis guild listings, you should find them there. You can also try searching for roleplaying guilds to see what you come up with.

Khyber has many different guilds and is incredibly active. If you're looking to stick around and not RP, the best way to find a guild is to utilize the LFM panel in game and play with as many different people as you can and find a guild that you like. Pay attention to guild tags and ask about recruitment. Unfortunately, if you're looking to roleplay, Khyber is not going to be the server for you.
