Default Painless way to get 3 x Ftr past lifes

    Hey all.
Its bout time i TRed my monk and i wanted to get him 3 x ftr past lifes to increase his to-hit.Currently a Water Shintao Monk. Can someone direct me to a build or suggest any builds to get 3 ftr lives under my belt.
My Monk has eaten +3 tomes for some stats.

    Preference:
1)would prefer a monk splash cos i just love monks.
    2)AC would be a bonus.
3)Would like to give dark a try for the next 3 lives

i came up with a build which a fren suggested.Opinions are greatly appreciated.

Personally I would never make a melee build with that low strength. Even if going finesse, it's still where your damage bonus comes from. Yes, stunning and so on is cool. But I would not sacrifice so much damage potential just to get a little higher stun DC - especially since you're not planning on sticking around for CCing in epics.
You are not even getting power attack.

Also, it's easier to boost strength than dex in DDO, so it might be better to just go strength based. Saves a feat, too.

Level split is fine. Touch of death + shadow fade + improved evasion is cool. You'll miss out on Kensai II, but it's a matter of what you want - power surge vs all the before mentioned.

Helf cleric dilly is nice for selfhealing, so if you're just doing fighter lives for PL bonuses that's fine.

This is my opnion only, of course. But I really do not like to group with the no-strength finesse monks that deal piddling damage in raids. Of course, if you're planning on soloing and not raiding on your way to getting those PLs... well, up to you. Just don't come and complain when you can't beat some monster's regen
DDO: If a problem cannot be solved by the application of DPS, you're not applying enough.

Thks for the advise. This is just a draft build me and a fren came up with to max out AC during the leveling process. We came up with something similar but instead of Dex/Wis based, we went Str/Wis based. But for tat build, im not sure bout the AC esp once i reach Gianthold and Vale. Here's the build.
Once again its the same lvl split(11ftr/9monk) for ToD,shadow fade, improved evasion.and cleric dilly for the self heals and raise dead scrolls when things go sour.

By the way, here's my play style shd someone wants to build a toon for me.Im not the Elitist zerging type.I enjoy questing with ppl(even newbs, not NOOBS) and sharing watever knowledge i gained.I tend not to solo alot cos it feels lonely playin all alone..lol.. I plan to follow DJs guide to Elite streaks to 20 but since i wont have a playing partner like she did,i'll be posting lfms or join ppls lfm.Worst case senario would be grab a hireling and do the quest.

OK, with that play style I will have to temper my earlier post a bit: Finesse and better AC might be for you, after all. I wouldn't start with lower than 12-14 strength, but if you can get decent AC by going finesse then go for it.

Just please, do take Power Attack

    lol..
How would actually ammend the build to qualify for PA?it would either mean i drop Dex or Wis.which in turn will mean im droppin my AC.I rather not drop con cos as a melee class i would think the bare minimum for con is 14.IIRC there was a thread tat was talkin bout the different AC lvls for each pack..60ish AC iirc shd be enuff for elite vale..

Take WIS down to 16 from your first build, and spend them on STR?

    60 AC is OK, yes.

EDIT: Or even just 17 WIS.

If you are just doing it for the PL and are not staying at cap just do 6 monk, get the Pre you want and then get 12 ftr and get kensai II. The last two levels don't matter, and if you are leveling correctly, you aren't going to be on this path very long. I just did this build on my monk Dreamler, and capped a 3rd life in a couple of weeks of sporadic play time. I am now grabbing a rogue past life doing pretty much the same plan 1 rog 2-7 monk (dark) 7-18 rog (Assassin II), 19-20 whatever.

Im doing the 3x fighter past life thing as well and didnt want to grind out 3 levels of pure fighter. Right now im doing 12 fighter 6 ranger 2 monk. I might do 8 fighter 6 ranger 6 monk next.

The reason Im not too concerned with kensai 2 is Im not staying at 20. The minute I hit 20 I help the rest of the group hit 20 and its back to korthos. Drexelhand has no idea what hes in for.

PA and improved sunder. Me likey.

Difference between dex and wis is up to you, really. Dex is more to hit, wis is better stun. But with 1 point only difference, I don't think it matters too much.

I did a 12 fighter/8 monk version, too. It's great damage. But the fun factor from ToD and survivability from imp evasion is not to be sneezed at, either.

6 monk/6 x/6 fighter would be my approach.

X can be: Paladin, Ranger, Artificer, Rogue or even Favoured Soul, they all add more at level 6 than what fighter does at any level for TR'ing purposes (fighter 12 is nice but comes too late to matter except unless staying at level 20).

I'd either include 6-7 rogue or I'd take Rogue Dilettante as a half-elf as SA is amazing with stunning fist (+50% SA too!)

I don't see why you don't include a level of Rogue in there. UMD and some sneak attack would be well worth it since you're not getting Fighter 12 anyway.

Take a look at the Nutslander Goddess build (in sig below).

    Sithali-1 ~ 31/31 Lives ~ Completionist
    OMNIPRESENCE
The Sith Project ~ Youtube channel ~ Sithali, King of Burst DPS ~ Pyrene, the Endgame Paladin ~ Facebook!

Having to choose between Kensei II or Monk 6 effectively does not a good TR build make. Stop at 7-8 fighter, no need to go higher. 6 monk, 6 something else (ranger, paladin, artificer, rogue, favoured soul).

WOWO could you help me come up with a build then?Cos honestly i've nvr multiclassed any of my toons, preferring the capstone to most of my toons..lol. Any class split tat would ease the lvling process pls if possible.

Going with this plan I would do this:

    1. Rogue - for skills
    2. Monk - cause you have hand wraps
3-8. Ranger - gets your free twf feats out there
    9. Rogue - gets evasion, why not monk? Your BAB is too low for improve crit and GTWF so it might be best to hold off on those free class feats
10-18. However you want to do it, I imagine you might start doing more monk since that's what you know best
    19-20. Fighter
    Ghallanda
    Volver life 3 lvl 20 sorc - 4 Epic /// Adept life 3 lvl 2mnk/17pal /// Vindicate life 6 lvl 18rgr/1ftr/1clr - 2 Epic /// [COLOR="Red"]
