Default Need help with a dwarven warchanter

So, I'm building a dwarf warchanter. I want to be durable, be able to dish out respectable damage, and give the party the buffs they want/need. To do this, I need to take some levels of fighter or barbarian. I'm looking for some opinions as to which I should take, and how many levels of each are optimal. Note that I have access to 32-point characters.

    Default YaY! Bards!

I've always thought that the genghis khan (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=242633) was a nice lil bard build, and doesn't look like it'd be too terribly difficult to adapt from human or horc to dwarf
It is also listed on the Diva's Bard Love Guide that ayondie posted a link to.
Orien Characters: Indolent, Rubyescence, MumboJumbo, Humdrum, Wynelle, Lexiann, and a handful of others.
One of these days my big mouth is going to get me into trouble :P.

Yes, this is a good guide.

As for splashing: If you decide to splash, I would splash 2 fighter for more feats. Since you are splashing, it is reasonable to go 16bard, you don't lose much. There are few possibilities here:

-- 16bard/2ftr/2brb: Fast movement, sprint boosts (don't underestimate this, even on a bard), 2 extra feats, rage (take care, unable to cast spells when raged). Highest personal DPS (when not sneak attacking), I would think.
-- 16 bard/2ftr/2rog: Evasion, more skills (possible to include trapskills), sneak attack (10,5 per swing, IIRC).
-- 16bard/4ftr: More feats, better haste boost.

Personally, I prefer 16brd/2rog/2ftr for evasion and sneak attack. But thats subjective to playstyle. I know people with crazy keyboard skills who don't care about evasion and like raging.

And one more piece of advice, from my own subjective experience: Don't neglect your HP if you want to raid in endgame (I don't mean normal Shroud ). You want to stand there with the melees and not make your healers nervous. Shouldn't be a problem on a dwarf however -- you will easily be able to reach 500 with just a GS item.

    Axesinger is still the classic template for rogue / ftr / bard WC. On a 32-pt dwarf I would start something like 16 / 15 / 16 / 8 / 8 / 12 (presuming you have +2 DEX tome).

I've also got a TWF variant on Genghis I called Kublai which is even more DPS-focused (though I really miss Evasion sometimes).

Was just mailing maddmatt about that split. Going dwarf, I'd be tempted to build in tactics.

    Fighter 6 / Bard 14
Normal (7) - Toughness, Focus, Extend, THF, ITHF, GTHF, Improved Sunder
Fighter (4) - PA, CE, Spec, Improved Trip

    Warchanter 2 / SD 1
Ghallanda - now with fewer alts and more ghostbane

I think I'd be inclined to go with kensai for the additional boost to tactics, and swap out CE for IC for even more damage. I'm not too sure what this build gains from SD that it really needs, it's not going to be tanking anything and won't get a meaningful AC from it.

Ask your self - how much of a boost does Kensai 1 give tactics over SD1?

    HP, always on STR.

Default Thanks for all your advice

I especially like the links the first few posters put up. Now lets see if I can read it all

I usually play pures, so multi-classing is new for me.
