Default anyone else having issues after the patch 13.1

Update the client on both my netbook and PC. Gets to the login screen. I put in my password and then it seem to crash. Anyone else having issues. Redownloading it on the Netbook. Not bothering on the PC. Got a new board and harddrive coming on Wednesday. Running Windows 7 64bit on both.

Was farming shadow crypt today and everything was fine until I went into the quest. Every 4-5 seconds my screen would freeze for a micro second and then resume as normal.

    The frame rate counter was like a stop watch ticking down the entire time in quest. It would go 35, 30, 25, 20, 16, 9, 6 FREEZE 35, 30, 25, 20, 15.6, 8.1, 5.4 FREEZE etc etc.

That was new. It experienced it all five runs of the quest 3 on elite, 2 on hard. As soon as I stepped back out into Necropolis I was fine.

Sounds like the Environment Stencil Shadows bug.

    Default Me too.

I was having the same problem yesterday. I crashed 4-5 times and ended up giving up for the evening. Today, I can get logged in but EVERY area that I zone in to is taking anywhere from 3-5 minutes to load (I've been timing it). My zone in times were in the neighborhood of 30 sec before this update with the odd crash here and there. This is MUCH more annoying and if it continues I'll be done with DDO...after 6 years

I don't know if you've already tried this or if it even applies, but I've heard people with a similar issue that actually had their firewall blocking ddo for some reason, and if you go into your firewall program and accept it it should work. Again, I don't know if it applies to your specific situation but *shrug* maybe. Usually that's what is suggested by the troubleshooter if you have troubles logging in after a patch.

Another far less popular workaround is to un-install then re-install DDO.

Got it reistalled and all is fine again. Not sure what caused weather it was just a hickup in the patch or what not. Hope the others having issues get there's up too.

    Default Sigh

Looks like I'm gonna have to reinstall also. Just ran eLOD. 5 min to get into Harbor, 5 min to load into quest, lagged out and dc'd about 1/2 way through the quest, 5 min to load back into Harbor after the quest, 5 min to run back to the guild ship (lagging all the way), then finally crashed out again loading back onto the ship. Ridiculous!

If it worked before the update and suddenly got a LOT longer loading after these would be the first things I would do:

    - manually remove/readd the DDO files to my firewall
    - power cycle my modem/router before reinstalling.

I suspect the reinstall worked because it did the same as removing/readding the firewall entries.
But hey, if you prefer to reinstall, go for it.

My firewall is off and I'm still having the problem.

This makes me wonder if Updates 13 and 13.1 introduced more internal fragmenting of DDO's .dat files than other updates have in the past. What specifically in those updates might've caused this? New textures or sounds in the game?
