    Default Poof you're dead barbarian

I am looking at creating a Stealth TWF Barbarian who will most likely travel with a rogue so the idea is that we'll both pop out of stealth and wail on the enemies until they are dead. This will be my first character on DDO but I have experience with DnD computer games and I've started the character but want to know if it will work in the long run:
I have him using dual warhammers for the cool factor and I really like having the dragon mark feats so that I can heal us between our stealth encounters.

EDIT: I realize this isn't optimal, as the str penalty for halflings hurts a little as well as the lowish con because I need a decent Int in order to keep Hide/MS up through cross class skills, but I want to know if it will be unplayable as it is currently as it gets higher in level more than if it will be KILLER. I figure if I like the character enough I could always TN it to get a higher point build and make the costs less costly.

horc max str, 1 ap in sprint boost, rage on and you got a pretty good 'poof your dead' barbarian. stealth is worthless on so many levels whilst lvling, you or your rog friend would be better off as either an arcane or divine for duoing, or you'll have problems...esp if its your first characters.

the build you posted is fail in alot of ways.

read this for info on how to build a decent first life barb: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=296816

but wf melee and wiz, or horc barb and a clr would be much better for duoing first toons. you're going to need a group for alot of stuff most likely, and having a healer will make your groups fill, as opposed to alot of downtime.

I think it *could* be a fun concept.

    I would say either get 18 Barb levels...or 12.

    12Barb/6Ranger/2FTR would be neat...

The Ranger levels lets you get move silently and hide as class skills. Plus it would give you some dual-wield feats for free.
The Fighter levels give you 2 bonus feats and fighter haste boost.

    A 12Barb/6ROG/2FTR would/could be fun.

More ROG levels allows UMD for healing out of combat.

    Hey,

unless that has been changed in the past (never tried again tbh) you cant sneak while raging. that alone makes it a very unefficient style of playing a barb (dismiss rage-> sneak ->break stealth-> rage->dismiss rage->sneak....)

By chance do you have access to the Monk class? The Ninja fade of a Dark Monk works perfectly for the scenario of sneaking through quests, throw the sneak icon onto a custom hotbar slot (i use ` [tilde]) so you can hit it quickly in mid air, while swimming, climbing up ladders etc. for a little extra Ki generation between combat.

While halfling barbarians are cute and funny, they cant sneak while raging.
Instead try 18 fighter with 2 rog or 2 monk. Monk gives extra feats, rog gives umd.

Missing out on death frenzy makes this build very far from optimal. 4d6 damage every swing is a lot.

Going human would give you a bonus feat, 4 bonus skill points at level 1 and 1 bonus skill point on every level from 2 to 20. It makes the concept a lot easier to work with.

Go 18 barbarian/2 rogue. Drop the dragonmarks of healing, keep the melee feats. Use the human skill boost and the skill focus:Use magic device feat to use healing wands and scrolls.

Thanks for the tips, I think I'm just going to scrap the whole build and make him a TWF Ranger instead. The whole stealth and Raging think really doesn't make sense and will lead to frustration.
