looking into it further, stand your ground is a timed quest that begins as soon as you enter, you have to kill all the mobs before they kill an npc that must survive if the quest is to complete successfully. this guy did you a serious favor. it just proves pugs will never appreciate even basic saving of their newb azzez
There is slow way to do dirty laundry ?
I need to give that info to my GF asap !
Tr removing you from Newb list was like 2 year ago when you struggled to do epics and they weren't easy at all. At that point were no Druidic on ddo shop ...
So now TR mean you capped 1 toon not that you are a PRO nor that you aren't newbie

You know the REALLY sad part about BlackyLigar's post? SYG does NOT start as soon as you zone it. It starts when you take a step forward. You can stand there for an hour and the quest will not start.
One of the worst mistakes you can make in a gaming environment is to call someone a newb while making a newb error in the process.

Well, first you let the rogue carefully walk down the straight line between the spikes to get the trap.
Then, you investigate the door that doesn't open
Next you go thru and KILLLL everything in main rooms, taking care to open locked doors secretly (having rogue pick it if you really want to take time) so as to get the meager optional
Last, you get chest
I agree, especially with the new vet 7 and now bb getting u to 20 faster. I should have re-phrased, just was dumbfounded at his audacity to call me a newb when it didn't seem like he read the first post at all
Lol, this. Ty

hmm i thought it started when you talked to the guy i just didn't think he'd figure it out he definitely didn't choose that little detail tho did he but my original comment would still aply, you cant expect someone to wait around long enough that they could have completed the quest on their own with your scaling to boot. rather than get indignant, say thanks because he still did you a favor, and ask them if they would like to run it again because u didn't get to see the quest and all it's nuances.
ye i suppose it's hard to tr and not hit veteran status which makes you a real player but okey, ya got me, it's been a while since i read the op and i had misremembered that detail i was wondering why you'd need a rog for stand your ground

*OR*
Knowing that the quest is a ridiculously short zerg, you could wait until everyone gets in the quest before finishing it. You dont do anyone a "favor" by finishing a quest before they get in (regardless of the reason). Theres nothing wrong with zerging it -- as long as everyone is cool with it and IN the quest when you do it. Assuming the conversation and tone actually went as described, the other guy was just a jerk. The kind of jerk that anti-zergers hold up as an example of all that is wrong in the universe. At the least, he should have apologized and offered to run it again.
TO be fair, he might not have even realized that the OP and his buddy were not fully loaded into the quest, since their dots would have shown up in the quest on his screen even as they were stuck in a loading screen (seen this MANY times). Its his reaction after the fact that is the real issue in my book.
Both sides made mistakes, mainly in lack of communication. The OP has owned up to it now, but based on the described behavior and my own personal experience with such players, the other guy would never admit to the fact that he was just as wrong.

i didn't see in the op that they missed exp, i dont know if i would take their word for it either since u can reconnect to a quest after it's been completed and still recieve completion and exp. i wouldn't believe you if you tried to say for fact on it either.
i cannot gage the other persons actions "after the fact" as you say as i was not there. i could trust 100% what the op has to say about it but bleh.
no, trying to do all these unspoken rules that everyone is supposed to know because they all bought the same brand of solipsism is a pracice that doesn't work even on it's best day.
for all i know the guy left cuz he didnt feel like an ass chewing from some newb who should be saying "thankyou" or "lets run it again, that was easy!"
personaly, when i'm out to expirience new content, i roll it solo or with whatever ninja type class that feels like rolling it with an unbalenced shortman party. setting up ambushes and planned strikes is great fun on brand new content. can't be done with a ballenced party as that normaly requires playing it with 1 at most many ninjas.
who waits for the rog/ninjas to sneak ahead? no one. is everyone there by a "zerger?"
