How to revamp past life reward system <--- working again
Developers should fix this <--- 2020 edition!
Oooooo a Guild Ship Arena! That would be fun!
Add one in House D as well, just because that would be fitting.
I mean, just have it so that it is a totally cosmetic fight, say, a roll of the dice, each player "secretly" rolls a D20 when their pet goes to "fight" they act it out, and whoever rolled higher wins. Make it so that this Roll can NOT be modified by the players*
*Unless they purchase from the store a + To their Cosmetic Pets "Roll" used once per roll, from the DDO store for 25TP for +2, 50TP for +3 and 100TP for +5 (These boons do not stack, in any way shape or form, highest wins)

I will get a Cranium Rat and name it Pikachu. We will travel across the land, searching far and wide.. for foes.
Every challenge along the way.. with betting we will face. We will battle every day, to claim our rightful place.. as champions. As rich, rich champions.
Until, of course, we meet a panther cub with hat. Named "Cat in the Hat". Because companions love themselves some hats. This cat will destroy our streak, take our place, and leave us spending our days drunk in guildship bathrooms, Stormreach sewers, and beholder-infested taverns, bemoaning our fate.
And then.. we'll find the legendary "Starroyd Infusion Elixer" (granting us the ability to roll TWO d20s at once, and occasionally benefit from an additional +4 rage bonus). We'll regain our place at the top, and, for the first time ever, fights will have become lethal. Outcries will stream forth over the losses of companions, and just as a concentrated effort to 'take care' of Pikachu forms, he will mysteriously die.
He will be mourned, as a hero and a monster, loved and hated. And the end of an era shall be upon us..
Sniff.
..well, or we could just make a drinking game of it. I guess that seems safer. Whichever, really.
On a more..ah.. serious note. The idea actually isn't bad, even with the store purchase complementation. As gamers, we love to see what will happen in these situations ("We're like gamblers and actors both, but with less problems and more drama."), so I can imagine it'd get a fair amount of use. Heck, consider how much we use /lfh and /lfb and the tavern brawl areas already. And this is far more exciting.
I mean, until /lfh starts actually giving barrels of ham.
Actually, have you ever played Overlord? I love the gleeful, malevalent packs of minions in that. They smash barrels and bring stuff back to you. (They also slaughter cute sheep while you're not looking.)
There's a brand new DDO caster class for you, right there!
...Minion still remembers waterworks!

i'd like my pet to break boxes during a quest![]()
"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"

Pets are by far the worst thing that came to this game. All they do is cause lag and Honestly I do not want them to do anything more with pets. if anything I would wan them to make it so pets can only be summoned in public places. or even better not be summoned at all and instead be like collectables.
