From Beyond The Grave

Bought Delera's pack in the recent sales, running it for favor on my capped rogue and i can't finish it on elite with just an hire (Caraneth Myar lvl 19 fvs) defending the gate. Norm and hard were easy, on elite the closer i got to completion is making Deathshadow spawn.
I don't want to complain, just would like to know if i'm missing something obvious (like a fireball on the pyres lits them in half a second instead of the loooooong animation it takes) or if there's a particular strategy people use to solo this.

My strategy on the successfull norm/hard runs was to enter, summon hire, make her summon the efreeti, set her on aggressive near the gate and go in stealth to lit the pires (you stay stealthed while doing the animation and at the end the mobs autodetect you).
On hard after litting each pyre i went back to help clear up the gate and then onto the next pyre.
On elite i always failed: as soon as while i'm on the 2nd pyre or as late as just right after making the wraith spawn.

Fun fact: this reminds me of a sidequest in the Vampire: The Masquerade game where you help the caretaker of the graveyard (who is even called Romero) by taking on his duties for 5 minutes defending the 2 gates from zombie hordes.

Rather than your favored soul pet, try the highest level warforged arcane you can dig up to guard the gate while you play with the pyres; level 13 Barrage does a pretty good job for going it alone at level on elite if you don't take too long lighting the pyres. Be aware that if you (or a hireling or a pet) steps on the sand surrounding the pyres, you get a ton more enemies to deal with. Kill the immediate guards and any aggro you might have, hit sneak, and light 'em up from as far away as you can without touching the sandboxes.

I also tried the suggestions made by Gram, and they work. I was never able to get through From Beyond the Grave before and, with the help of Barrage, made it through at normal and hard level. Thanks for the good advice.
