Assume 45% tax (Federal and State combined), that would then leave you with $254.1 million as your actual winnings.

What would I do with $254.1 million? I'd give 75% of it away to various charities right off the bat. Then I'd take the rest and invest it in some tax-free Municipal Bonds and live off the interest.

Besides building a 400' sq addition to my house and constructing my astronomical observatory with a 16" Meade telescope, I'm not sure what else I'd do.

For sure, I'd keep working though.
