ddo Launcher Error - System.Uri Uri is empty

Hi all, need techincal assistance with DDO.
I downloaded fresh DDO standard with Pando Media Booster.
It was never installed here before, pretty much a clean install.
Tried launching it first time and got this error: During Opening Main Form

MAke sure the shortcut to launch DDO lists this as its target:
"C:\Program Files\Turbine\DDO Unlimited\TurbineInvoker.exe"

Could you post your DXDiag report?

Also, make sure you were installing it in an account with Admin privileges. Is there anything unusual about this computer i.e. is it a work PC with special hardware, an unusual network connection, etc.?

Here's an "informed shot in the dark":

You said it was a "pretty clean" install. Did you notice something during the install? Did it seem to installl Directx properly? That particular error can be caused by many things, but the wording "empty URI" does make me wonder if the launcher cannot read properly from one of its installation files (especially there is an initialization data file that does have these "URI"s in it normally. (there's an XML file in the USER\LOCAL SETTINGS\APPDATA tree for one.) If the installation of one of these files failed for corruption or access reasons and one or more of these files were corrupted or missing, that's always a possibility. Directx issues (like Dulci suggested) and .Net issues also come to mind.

That's just a wild shot in the dark, though....but corrupt files and corrupt accounts can happen, if rarely.

Your DxDiag will tell us a lot about your system specs.

That one is usually though not always because the connection is passing through a proxy server that doesn't support how the game launcher connects and authenticates.

I would recommend putting in a tech support request since they can get much more in-depth troubleshooting it there than can be done on the forums.

Sorry for digging this up but i had today the same problem !

I solved it after updating Vcc+ .Net Framework and Direct X, it must be an error with one of these.
