I logged onto my account and changed the password just to be on the safe side. Anyone have any clue what this may be about and what if anything I should do? The links look legit but I am not clicking them.

It does look like the German version of our email sent out when a password reset is requested. It may have been sent in error, like someone made an error on their email address when they created the account or an email routing error, though it is good you changed your password. You may want to run a full virus scan on your computer just for extra precaution. Both are good steps to take when you receive an email about a password reset you did not ask for.

    Question

Thanks for the response. What I find odd is that I did not recieve an email from Turbine after changing the password due to the German email that I got. I am thinking that someone tried to hack my account. Any further advice, aside from change your passwords and scan your pc for viruses, on the matter?

Those are the two most important steps. You may also might want to periodically change any online password you may have, like maybe monthly or quarterly. That and keep your virus scanner up to date. Those are the two steps needed to keep any online account secure.

The other thing to keep in mind is if you think an email is suspicious though it says its coming from a company you have an account for, don't click on any link in it. Go directly to the companies website to verify whatever the email says. If it is a malicious email, deleted and I'd recommend doing a full virus scan just to be sure.
