    Default Falling through the ground

During game play, my characters sometimes fall through the ground into the lowest level of the map. Sometimes this will get resolved by leaving the game and then come back in. However it's happened more than 3 times today and leaving and coming back doesn't solve it. To top it off, I even got trapped inside the resting shrine (the actual shrine statue). Other party members could see my weapon and shield sticking out from the shrine statue. I couldn't find a way out.

At first I thought it was a DX10 problem, but when I checked, I was running DX9. This happened most often when I was trying to go up (i.e. climbing up a ramp, going up a stair). I would just fall off from the upper levels. Occasionally I just fell through the top most layer and was able to jump out of the mess. My guess is that the game landscape wasn't loaded properly?

    Default try a reinstall

I had a similar issue with LOTRO a few years ago. A re-install fixed it right up. I think there may be something corrupted with your local copy of the game. Maybe not what you wanted to hear, but a reinstall will also give you improved performance, so it is not all bad.

    Hope this helps!

Just did. The ingame support told me that they didn't know what's causing this. I will try the reinstall if I don't hear from them by tomorrow. I reinstalled the game when release 13 first came out. I can't rememer if I had this problem before the reinstall.

    Update on this problem:

The tech support led me through a wild goose chase and the problem still persists. I believe they tried their best, but sometimes their best is just not enough.

Today I actually gathered more info and it led me to believe that this is a server side problem. Not long after I started to "lose my footing", our group was having connectivity issues inside the dungeon. We were cut off from the server and wasn't able to move at all inside the dungeon. After a little while we saw this "latency" symbol appear and were soon after booted out of the game. Twice today and each time it happened after I experienced the floor issue. I start to think this problem I've been having is related to the server connectivity/speed. The ground info was just not loading fast enough onto my computer.

This is interesting actually. These dungeons are separate instances, and they should be able to be fully loaded onto our computers upon entry without much communication with the server. I don't know if my experience can get better if I switch to another server. I'm using "Ghallanda" now, but it would suck since I've collected a lot of favour on this single server.
