    Default challenge need some love

well currently it is hard to find anyone who willing to do this.. so here are my suggestion to resolve this issue.

    1. make every challenge dungeon drop essence as reward, so it will become the major source of crafting essence. or just simply allow people to exchange material from challenge for crafting essence.

    2. planar shard or something similar could be drop in challenge, which can be use to trade various of item such as spirit cake, sp/hp potion..etc

You do realize you can exchange challenge mats for crafting essences, lesser experience elixirs or epic tokens along with various other consumables.

Personally, i think the problem with challenges has less to do with their rewards, and more to do with a) their repetative and non-normal-DDO-ques-like-nature, and b) their extremely wide level range.

Challenges are different than most quests, they don't have a set XP rate, they don't have memorialize clear objectives (There's luck and chance in all the challenges), AND scaling is a total drag. All of this comes together to make Challenges, especially grouping for them, unfun.

Secondly, because challenges have such a wide level range, people often end up they don't fit well into leveling plans. Unless you're aiming to PUG with capped characters, the level range actually plays against its grouping interests!

Its too early to say, it still a new pack, and people are slow learners, especially since you have access to challenges only with free tokens.

Also note, that this is p2p stuff without a strong reason to buy forever, so it all depends if you have some lost token in bank. So generally its best to run challenge of the day, and rather in top hours.

I personally found forming a pug for challenges not so bad (depends however on challenge, and ingredient), suprisingly fast there come a 2-4 folks.

Challenges are somehow antipug thanks to scaling. It may be easier to do one, with 2 people who knows whats up, than 6 puggers with the leming aproach to quest.

As for end reward, there is a list of consuables, like experience pots.
