Youre confusing challenges gear and alchemical weapons. Crafting alchemical weapons is a process similar to GS crafting, in that you get the ingredients from the two house C raids, while challenges items are made by turning in ingredients collected by running challenges.

As far as what to get, a tier 2 alchemical (possibly shield) with flametouched iron, tier 1 mystical - fire (superior combustion IX, superior devotion IX) and tier 2 martial - water (alchemical wisdom +2) is IMHO the best combination for a divine caster.

Yeah I do not know anything about that update So I did not mention it in the write up I did for him yesterday.

Are weapons in the challenges worth it? I was looking at some of them but not sure if they are worth the grind, maybe the epic versions of the elemental bow and the mornelorde weapons would be. I am going to try and get a pair of rock boots for my Sorc life that I will be doing shortly as I plan to go acid savant.
