no the guy is arguing with me because he claims I don't read also I did see what the dev said it sucks. Also let me clarify for you all update 13 epic gear is not all oriented for sorcs only 3 items I use fro my sorc and I was always told it is impossible to level to 20 without vip or packs. Also please comprehend what I'm saying sense update 13 I have been planning my character on lamania to test the future expansion Underdark it will have wasted alot of my time to have done all this planning for testing underdark the devs level and stuff but they dont give me all proper items i need for a character if the devs did give me gear oriented around my class I'd be fine and dandy with the wipe but it truly is disappointing to find i wasted weeks preparing for the future expansion lamania update =\ (excuse the grammar becoming lazy for now)

ok. let me try to answer you as best i can figure out what you are saying.

1. i know very well that not all of the items from U13 are caster items. i'm the one who linked a bunch of images of all the items (non epic versions) in the original "new items" thread.

2. you were told it was impossible? whoever told you was wrong. it is completely possible to play and enjoy the entire game and level to 20 and play epics and everything without spending a single cent. it just takes a long time to do so. for the short term, with the addition of new FREE quests, you should be able to get to (or darn near close to) 20. save the points you gain from favor. horde them like they are precious. buy packs when they are on sale (like the low level packs that are 75% off right now. jump on that!) and use those packs that you bought (for FREE because you didn't actually spend money to get the TPs) to get MORE TPs. always wait for sales on packs. given time, you will own the entire game.

3. you were planning your character to test the expansion? erm... not to be rude, but i never would have done that... BECAUSE i'm always waiting for the axe to fall. as i said, they make it VERY CLEAR that lamma will be wiped frequently. count your lucky stars when it isn't. heck, i was honestly shocked they didn't do a wipe between U12 and U13!

seriously, do what the rest of us do, and hit the brand new stuff buck nakked. it's fun!

No I don't =\ I was hoping sense there wasn't going to be a wipe seeing as there was none during 12-13 so i wanted gear for the next update

i have some turbine points saved up from vip but idk what packs to get in till i get underdark prepurchased i also wanted to make sure i had vale and gianthold because those are main packs in leveling lol I guess im getting over lamannia going to be wiped << but it sill ticks me off a little because i wanted to be 100% powerful for leveling through underdark lol

I'd get a refund from your online school and then realize all that all your time on Llama IS wasted time. Underdark is MONTHS away and we have no idea if it will be a public preview since it is our first paid expansion.

Safe bet that if it will be a public preview, you will have to had already bought the expansion BEFORE you can use Llama to gear your character, err, "test" the Expansion.

I know there are wipes -_- this on in general seems useless to me. READ WHAT I SAID I've been on here over a year -_- toons before I had on there where wiped

Drive the people that only play on Lama out of the game. They don't pay Turbine any money and they seriously wreck your ability to test anything, by hitting any LFM that's posted and having no clue how to play the game. Aggroing three rooms of Epic mobs at a time and cake-raising over and over, etc. It was harder to complete Lords of Dust epic with them than it was solo.

As for people that claim ignorance: You can't easily FIND the Lama client to download it. Anyone that can find the client download absolutely knows they aren't on a real server.

IMO monthly wipes when Lama is up would solve the issue.

Ok first off I know how to play the game secondly I have payed for turbine points and vip countless times on ddo third I will be buying the collectors edition for underdark so that way I can level 1-20 easier on live so before you assume i dont pay anything or know anything read i have a level 20 monk on live i had to pay or monk and for vip to get packs to level ect.

What's more, the devs routinely give out xp and gear when brand new content is released, so that you can roll a brand new toon on lama and have him capped and geared instantly. i would recommend exploring the quests you can access to the fullest. earn or buy the best gear you can get your hands on. you are off to a good start (altho the lack of wisdom will hurt your monk), but some fortification and +con items would do you well. crits hurt. alot. pick a favorite character and try to level that one up. you are spread thin now, and if you are serious about playing in the expansion when it releases you need to buckle down and get crackin' toward that goal.

you will NOT be able to PRE-PURCHASE underdark with TP. it is REAL MONEY ONLY to pre-purchase
you will be able to buy PARTS of it (the quests, druid, challenges) individually with TP in August.

i highly recommend delera's, the xp is excellent. jump on it TODAY. the sale is gone tomorrow.


if you do indeed drop the $80 for the CE... as i said before, horde the points. you only get 2000 of them unless you can also swing the $60 for the 11K TP add-on. wait for packs to go on sale. there are plenty of threads recommending which to buy at what levels, and a fair few you'll get with the CE without needing to spend points on them and this is good.

beyond the packs that come with the CE, i would recommend getting the necropolis bundle, the demon sands pack, vale, and house cannith (not the challenges, the quest pack). between what you get from the CE, those packs, and the free content, you should be EASILY able to level to 20 and gear out appropriately

im not stupid x-x I know im going to be paying 79$ for the prepurchase of underdark also my monk hes already level 20 and does pretty good damage hes a dex based light monk greater windstance void 4 ect he doest around 40-60 each hit has epic endless light handwraps epic cloak of night good gear for his stats i wanna make a sorc on live but i dont have the packs i would normally use to level lol
