    Default Pali/Monk multi-classing?

    I've been stuck on this idea for a while.
    I've been thinking that a monk/pali combination would put out a decent
    amount of damage and be quite self suffiecient.

    The addtion of the leveling to 7 along with 32 pt build would also give this multi-class some ground to stand
    on, but I'm not too sure how to level it.

    would going 4 monk/ 3 pali be good? or perhaps 5 pali/ 2 monk?

    Perhaps a duel pretige could also create a higher damage output?

    18pally/2monk, 12pally/8monk & 12monk/6pally/2fighter are all very popular & have their own advantages & disadvantages.

    18/2 DoS is one i have & he's great.. the monk levels are purely for evasion & feats so i dont bother using wraps, just 2handers or sword & board when i'm tanking so being uncentered doesnt bother me.

    12/8 is durable with decent self healing etc.. can go either ninja spy for shadow fade or light (shintao optional) for those nifty buffs & that extra smite attack.. you'll have good healing amp, aggro generation etc.

    12/6/2 will have improved evasion & great healing amp... if you go earth stance 3 & DoS it'll have a decent amount of HP (though not as much as the other 2 i think) & the inherent damage resistance from earth stance even without using a shield.. plus you'll get that extra +1 multiplier on your crits which will make your fists do damage equivalent to dwarven axes but with faster attack speeds Also you can take dark monk for ToD attack
    I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

    for the vet status i'd go 5 pally 2 monk for the evasion and divine sacrafice right off the bat.

    My current mix build is at 19 and i'm only going for the pally past life but i went 14 pally 4 monk 2 ftr human with the marks of passage it made leveling very easy.

    I find i don't need improved evasion as i only fail any saves on a 1 and the monk attack boost plus fighter haste boost with zeal seems to put some serious hurt on.

    14 pally 6 monk - gets Zeal + Ninja Spy 1.

    15 pal / 3 monk / 2 fighter - healthy dose of feats, light finishers

    18 pally / 2 monk DoS is great. Especially as a halfelf for the monk dilly - absurd amounts of heal amp.

    I'm currently leveling a 14/6 split, wind stance + zeal = 15% doublestrike.

    My particular build is a shortsword drow ninja/DOS; it's great leveling build, but I suspect that it will be lacking end game, like most such builds.

    The problem there is that 8 paladin only gets you a 2nd level spell; have you looked at the list? Not much to choose from, and nothing you want. 12 monk/6 paladin/2 fighter...

    i didnt go for 8 paladin because of level 2 spells, but becasue of extra lay on hands :3 i dont realy see what 2 figther levels give other then a haste and another overkill thougness feat?

    Fighter doesn't get Toughness as a free feat. Haste boost combined with Dmg boost is all kinds of awesome, and the Strength 1 could save 2ap on a Human or Helf, or even it out anyway on any other race. More HP is always welcome on a Monk hybrid tank.

    Haste boost is awesome.

    For feats, improved sunder, weapon focus:bludgeoning, and stunning blow all come to mind, or use them for power attack and twf to free up other feat slots.
